Puente Romano Marbella

"We’ve just returned from our fifth stay at Puente Romano in Marbella, and once again it didn’t disappoint. The hotel has a really unique layout, with a mix of villa-style accommodation and rooms set across different blocks. This time we stayed in the Velez area, where the rooms have recently been refurbished. Ours was excellent – very spacious, beautifully decorated, with a separate living area, walk-in wardrobe, and a stunning bathroom featuring both a jacuzzi bath and a large walk-in shower. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we loved having a balcony to relax on with a drink in the evenings. The grounds are immaculately kept and full of character, and one of the standout features is the sheer choice of restaurants and bars on site. We enjoyed meals and drinks at places like Nobu, Lena and Cipriani – all offering something a bit different. The atmosphere in the evenings is great too, particularly at the Coya Club where the entertainment was excellent. During the day we spent most of our time around the Cheat Pool and restaurant, which had a lovely relaxed vibe. A special mention to Linnea, who looked after us brilliantly throughout our stay – always professional, friendly and attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. If you’re looking for a true five-star experience in beautiful surroundings with fantastic service, Puente Romano is hard to beat. We’re already looking forward to our next visit."

"When I first arrived at Puente Romano Resort, my first thought was: Where is the hotel? I had expected a multi-storey building with rooms. Instead, hidden among lush greenery, you discover charming whitewashed, Spanish village-style residences—completely unexpected and beautifully integrated into the surroundings. With more than 20 restaurants and bars on-site—and new openings appearing regularly—you could ALMOST say there are as many places to dine as there are rooms. Whether your palate leans towards French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Greek, Peruvian, or Lebanese cuisine, there is truly something for every taste and every whimsical foodie. In the span of a week, you can travel the world through food: from Peru to France, with stops in Italy, Japan, and Spain along the way. You become, quite effortlessly, a high-end dining nomad. Life here is never boring—you can dine somewhere different every evening without ever leaving the resort. A small practical note: the most popular restaurants get fully booked quickly, especially in high season, so reservations are essential if you want to experience the best spots. The convenience is a luxury in itself. No taxis, no cars—everything is within walking distance. One of the most unexpected highlights? The toilets. It may sound unusual, but they are genuinely worth experiencing. These are not just functional spaces—they are thoughtfully designed pieces of art. Places where you pause, reset from the lively atmosphere, or even take a quick selfie—certainly more than just a place to freshen up. That said, one of the facilities below La Plaza could benefit from a light refresh and perhaps reconsideration of its access, as the steps are quite steep—particularly in the evening—so a more accessible layout would bring it fully in line with the otherwise impeccable standards of the resort. Also, a little more attention to cleanliness at peak times would make the experience truly flawless. Music also plays a defining role in the Puente Romano experience. A rich mix of talented musicians and engaging DJs creates a vibrant yet elegant atmosphere. The amphitheatrical La Plaza acts as an “amuse-bouche” before dinner, setting the tone for the evening ahead and enhancing every reservation that follows. Overall, with their progressive, innovative vision, Puente Romano creates a mini-world of heavenly-chosen earthly pleasures."
