"We stayed at Hotel Magic Games 4 as a group of 8 — 5 adults and 3 children under 11. Overall, we had a fun holiday and the children really enjoyed themselves. For the price we paid, I think it offered good value, but there are definitely a few things I would have liked to know before booking. The positives 👍 The hotel itself was clean and nicely decorated, and our rooms were modern and well presented. The bathrooms were a really good size and the cleaners were excellent — very efficient, friendly and always did a great job. The rooms do, however, lack storage space. There wasn’t much wardrobe or shelving space, which was particularly noticeable as a family of four. We had quite a lot of clothes and luggage and found it difficult to keep everything organised. The rooms have game consoles, which were a big hit with the children and a nice touch, particularly when they wanted some downtime from the sun. Our wardrobe door actually fell off as soon as we arrived! 😂 However, I called reception and they sorted it very quickly, so although it wasn’t a great start, the response from the hotel was good. Check-in and deposits Check-in was probably one of the biggest negatives. It took nearly an hour for our group of 8 to get checked in, despite there being no queue at all when we arrived. It just felt unnecessarily slow. Also, be aware that towels and cups require a deposit. Towels were €15 each and cups were €1 each. You do get the money back at the end of your stay, but it’s worth knowing about beforehand so you’re not caught out. Pools and water slides 💦 The pool at Hotel Magic Games 4 itself is quite small and, to be honest, not particularly impressive. The big positive is that staying at the Magic hotels gives you access to the pools at the other venues, which really adds to the value of the holiday. We spent most of our time at the pool directly across from the hotel. The children absolutely loved the splash pool and water slides. It is a little dated, but there was plenty to keep them entertained. I would also recommend spending a few days at the Sports Hotel. Its pool area felt much newer, there were more slides and the swim-up bar was a really nice addition. Having access to the different venues definitely helped make the holiday more varied. Kids’ Club 👧👦 Unfortunately, we didn’t use the kids’ club at all, which was a real shame because my children normally love them. The main reason was the opening time — 5pm to 7pm. For us, that’s exactly when we were getting the children showered and ready to go out for dinner. I think the kids’ club would be much more useful if it was offered at a time when children could have some downtime from the sun during the afternoon. Mini disco 🎶 The “mini disco” isn’t really a disco in the traditional sense. It’s essentially one member of staff in the hotel lobby with a speaker. My daughter went along one evening and had a dance, and it kept her entertained for a while, but I wouldn’t really describe it as a mini disco. Staff and language 🇪🇸 The hotel was predominantly filled with Spanish guests, which wasn’t an issue for us at all and I never felt that we were treated differently because we were British. However, it’s worth being aware that some members of staff don’t speak a lot of English, so communication can sometimes be difficult. I used ChatGPT to translate things quite a few times during the holiday! Most of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. A particular shout-out goes to the young girl with the long brown hair who worked behind the bar. I’m sorry I didn’t catch her name, but she was really friendly and genuinely tried hard to make us feel welcome. Unfortunately, we did have a very different experience with one of the older men working behind the hotel bar who described himself as a supervisor. We found him to be quite rude towards us on several occasions, and it was noticeable enough that even other members of the bar staff commented that he didn’t like British guests. Hopefully this was just our experience, but it’s something I felt was worth mentioning. Entertainment 🎤 The main entertainment venue is a little walk away from the hotel. The venue itself was fine, but the entertainment was predominantly/all in Spanish. We actually met another English family while we were there who had spoken to the entertainment team about this. They did then make more of an effort to include some English, which was appreciated. There is also an Irish bar, which is part of the Magic group, and we enjoyed going there. Specialist restaurants 🍣🍕 We tried some of the specialist restaurants, but personally I wouldn’t make a huge effort to book them. The sushi restaurant was okay, but we had a few issues with the food. We sent the grilled salmon back because it wasn’t cooked properly, and the cooked king prawns were overcooked and hadn’t been properly cleaned, so unfortunately those also had to go back. The pizza restaurant and grill were a little better, but again, nothing particularly amazing. Overall ⭐️ Would I stay here again? For the right price, yes. This isn’t a luxury Spanish resort, and I think it’s important to set your expectations accordingly. The best way I can describe the atmosphere is “Butlin’s in Spain.” 😂 It’s busy, family-focused, a little dated in places and not particularly sophisticated — but the children had a great time, there are plenty of pools and activities to choose from, the weather was fantastic and we had a genuinely enjoyable holiday. For the price we paid, I think it offered good value. The ability to use the facilities and pools across the other Magic hotels is a big bonus and gives you plenty of variety. If you’re looking for a luxury, peaceful or particularly British-focused resort, this probably isn’t the place for you. But if you’re looking for an affordable family holiday with lots for children to do, good weather and plenty of facilities, I’d definitely consider it. We went with 5 adults and 3 children, and ultimately the children were happy, we had fun and we came home feeling like we’d had a great holiday — and that’s what matters most. 😊"

"This is a great hotel in a great area! Very clean and the majority of the staff are very pleasant, the one that stood out was Yassmin from the Checkpoint bar! We had a few issues, my daughters room had a constant leak from the air conditioning system and our wrist bands defaulted on numerous occasions which was frustrating when you got to your room to find it had failed then you’d have to go back to to reception for them to reprogram it (at times we could be stood there for over 15 minutes)! There are additional activities and restaurants you can use, my advice is to book these early! You have to pay for the safe! You pay a deposit for drinks cards which you exchange for drinks cups, you then get the cards back when you give your drinks cups back and you get the deposit back at the end of the holiday when you give in your drinks cards and receipts, the same applies for beach towels! Food was typical all inclusive buffet, breakfast was annoying where I had to “hunt” the cereal bowls, these were never in the same place or where constantly out of stock so I’d have to wait for the waiter to go and wash some! It’s mainly geared up for the Spanish, so the language barrier did make it hard work at times, there used to be a snack bar in the splash pool, this is the best snack bar I have used in a long time, highly recommend using it! Depending on your booking depends on what extras you are entitled too, we were on the ultra package and could use the additional restaurants, we only managed to use the Italian as the others were booked up, we could also use the other water parks, entry into Dinoland and Game zone! There is absolutely loads to do, our 10 days flew by! I would definitely recommend this hotel"

"Firstly the whole area is a nice Spanish holiday resort so mostly Spanish speaking people and staff The hotel is clean and rooms are a bit on the small side with limited storage but adequate and cleaned daily, beach towels are available with a 15 euro deposit. The main restaurant has a reasonable selection of food with a grill station for all meals & you book a time slot when you arrive, we did not stick strictly to our slots which was not an issue, there are 4 other restaurants you can use but book them early. There is a good selection of premium spirits, but sometimes use locally produced as well, there is 2 beers available, we used checkpoint bar at night where all the staff and very friendly especially Yasmin. There are 3 water parks, we used Splash water park which is just across the road, you can use Sports water park and Polynesia which you have to book. The snack bar in Splash water park is fantastic, burgers, hotdogs, chicken, pork, and Donner meat (yes donner meat). There are also different activities which you can book but again book early We as a family of 3 adults 2 children had an amazing time thank you to all the staff who are all very helpful"
