Magic Pirates Island

"So we arrived for our holiday on 23rd October 2025 - 30th October 2025. 2x Adults 3x Children In a Premium jacuzzi lodge(301). The day we arrived was lovley. We paid £180 to upgrade to ultra all inclusive when we arrived so we could enjoy the other restraunts and the excursions. We arrived at 11.30am so the room was not ready, which was understandable. We had packed accordingly with children's swimsuits in another bag. We were not told that there was a baggage hold room but we found it. We had a walk around then was informed our room was ready. On arrival to our room there was an awful sewerage smell. We informed reception and they sent someone out to put bleach down the drains. Spent a lovley day around the pools then went to dinner. (We used the premium restraunt.) Dinner was lovley. No problems with the food. The next day we started to arrange the week. We went onto the App but unfortunately they were having problems with it, so we could access it. (This continues for 2 days). We headed into benidorm and had a lovley day there. Then headed back for a swim. Had dinner (same restraunt) no problems. From our 3rd day is where it all went downhill. When we could finally access the app we tried to book and everything was full. All restraunts and all but 1 excursions. We booked into the Medieval dinner. We spoke to reception and the said there was nothing they could do everything was full. Later that day we reported an incident with a member of staff to the manager. As a thank you she gladly booked us into the Italian for dinner at 7pm. (Thank you). The service at the Italian was lovley! Food was not. Reheated in a microwave. When looking around I was appalled to learn that a full restraunt meant 4 tables. With what looked like unhappy customers. I dont understand why we were told we could book if the restraunt was that empty. We decided to take the children to the entertainment that was on due to it being a rainy day. When we arrived we were told that the events that were on had been cancelled as they were doing a maze for the little ones. We waited in line to do this. We spent 1 min to go around sheets in the shape of a maze with hand prints on and that was it. Kids were given a bag of sweets and that was it. They cancelled 3 hours of the kids club for this. When I questioned there was nothing to do now then one of the entertainers opened on of the rooms to do colouring and a movie. We took the children. When we got there we asked the entertainer there if she was open and she didnt give a straight answer. Eventually she said it was but she wanted to go home.... this blew my mind. Whilst in there the entertainer sat on her phone and barley interacted with anyone. We removed our children and headed for an escape room we had booked. The escape room was great and the children loved it. However we were not able to finish it due to it not being set up correctly and left with mixed up clues ect. The entertainer apologised and said the person who made it wasnt there today. We then headed for dinner. All I can say is dinner was awful. For the rest of our stay we did not enjoy any of the food. Meats were undercooked. Rice undercooked. And food became repetitive (more than a typical all inclusive.) And breakfast was even worse. No sausages. no bread. Scrabbled water rather than eggs. And beans that was more juice than beans. We then tried to go to reception and talk to them about the problems we had but unfortunately they said they didnt understand and they could not do anything. As the days went on the entertainment got worse along with the food. I know it was end of season but everytime we spoke to someone else that was on holiday every single person agreed with what we said. It felt like we were given food that was left in the freezer and entertainment were tired and wanted to go home. Our last night we ordered pizza to our room. We began to worry as many people told us that they hadn't received theirs or it had turned up 2 hours late. We had 3 young children so we tried to cancel and couldn't. We offered the pizza to our neighbours who said they were happy to wait for it. When coming back from the restraunt we found out the pizza never came. So glad we went to the restraunt. Our final morning I headed to reception to talk about check out ect. We had a late flight 9pm but we're told our wristbands got cut at 10am and we could no longer use them. We asked them can we extend our room then so we can get the children changed as it states you can pay €10 per hour to extend we were told no as they had a check in. Okay understandable. It closed in 2 days so I didnt get why there was a check in but it was what it was. After trying again to complain they decided we could keep our wristband untill 5. That was good enough for us so we could feed the kids before we left. We later found out that evening(from neighbours) noone checked into our room and they lied. Overall we will not be coming back here again. We had 3 members of staff out of the entire hotel who were lovley. The rest just didnt want to be there. No information is given to you when you arrive you have to find it out yourself. The sewerage smell was for our intire stay and we were told nothing they can do as we booked a room to close to the zoo. Its honestly a total joke. They did not want to hear any complaints at all and were not helpful. My best advise I can give people is to stay away. Book somewhere else. We spent ALOT of money to be there and expected alot better for the money we paid as did everyone we met on holiday which was also ALOT of people that said the same."

"Food is abismol little to nothing for children. Same thing everyday. Fruit is dry and left until someone takes it. I have allergies and the staff don't even speak English to help with this. The pool is sloped and is not the best. You come out with sores cuts. Just need a decent pool which this is not. It's also not very deep pool. Life guards always telling you off. The sun beds are all cramped together. Flies land on you the whole time your sat on the sunbeds. I waited 15 minutes each time I went up to get a drink or food in a que. Paid extra for inclusive plus but you don't recurve anything more then all inclusive. Even though we have paid extra. Double bed is ok. Second bedroom is a shoe box with tiny bunk beds we had one adult one child in their and just to small. Also no hanging space to they had to live out of suitcase. Wouldn't come again. Noise level wasn't to bad where we was. The cleaners were lovely and came back once we was all ready for breakfast. The restaurant staff were rude when talking to about allergies. And in general just rude seems like a chore to talk to you in both restaurants and bars."

"Location is out of the way of Benidorm but it’s nice and quiet and zoo and water park are in walking distance nice set up lots of plants and pool is different but hidden steps in pool you can’t see so stub your toes pool area is very cramped as sun beds too close together and cold but everyone had a great time all pool areas have a great theme ,pool bar small and slow always a wait other bars too sometimes we had to wait restaurant was too small sometimes a big wait as food area too small food was excellent though rooms a bit small especially the room with bunk beds it’s quieter in October so school holidays it will be very busy it would be better if some bar drinks were self service like other magic hotels"
