"Location It is about 15 minutes away from the centre of Benidorm but you can just get a taxi to the hotel if you want a change of atmosphere. Was around €14. Rooms! The rooms are TINY! Not what I expected at all, there more like little villa rooms than a hotel. You get a big main bedroom and then a double pirate room which is bunkbed but that’s it in the room. You’ve got a small living space and a balcony. We booked superior room. I do know that uograded rooms are the same but some have hot tubs included. The rooms are very clean though! Food. The food court 7 seas buffet is just your standard buffet, different variety of foods. Kids selection is cute as it’s at their height so they can do it themselves. The only let down is there is a ridiculous amount of flies everywhere in the restaurant, is all over the foods and under the food lights it is off putting. If you go platinum or ultra all inclusive you get different restaurants included in your stay. The snack bar around the pools is standard food too. Burgers hotdogs chips kebabs. Pools Pools are amazing for the children even adults! Pirate ship has a brown curly slide but my 3 year old for some reason wasn’t allowed on this one: then there’s a green curly slide and 3 slides, my child loved these so much. I’ve seen a lot of people say the pools are freezing! We went in August and the weather was ranging between 36/39 so the pools were very warm and a lovely temp! Be mindful of the floor in the pools it will be shallow and then all of a sudden it dips deep! It’s all very uneven so we cut our feet on the stones a lot. Theres another pool for babies again the floor is the same. Entertainment There’s entertainment on every night it’s near the amphitheatre, it’s not well sign posted and a lot of people didn’t know about this! It has mini disco for the kids which is brilliant wnd then a different show every night at 10:00pm. There is an app on the website that shows you what’s on and where everything is. Again it’s not explained when you stay I found all this out on tik tok! Kids club on site too, younger than 4 need adults to stay with them. Zoo and waterpark is connected to the hotel and if all inclusive or higher this is included in your stay. Cups. You need to rent your cups for the full holiday it’s €1 per cup, you just keep it the full holiday and then get money back at end of holiday Atmosphere Very good for children. Staff are very helpful! All in all I would definitely go back"

"Magic Pirates Island Resort – Family Review We stayed at Magic Pirates Island Resort for 5 nights as a family of four, including our eldest daughter who uses a wheelchair and our youngest daughter, who is under 1. Overall, we had a really enjoyable family holiday. However, there were quite a few additional costs that we felt took away from the all-inclusive experience. 🏠 Room / Apartment The good Our room was clean, tidy and felt almost brand new. Everything was very well maintained and the maid service was brilliant. One of our favourite features was being able to use the wristband as the room key. It’s such a simple idea but incredibly convenient, especially when you have children and are constantly carrying things around. The only negative The bunk-bed area is quite small, but this was really our only complaint about the accommodation. 🏊 Swimming Pools There are three pools, giving you plenty of choice. The children’s pool is great for younger children, while Battleship Lagoon has some slides and is where most of the action takes place. There is also a more relaxing pool with a swim-up bar. The swim-up bar is available to All Inclusive guests before 2pm, after which it becomes Premium All Inclusive. One thing to be aware of is that some of the slopes into the pools are quite steep and aren’t always obvious, so you need to take care when entering and exiting the pools. 🍽️ Food The food was average to good, with enough choice that everyone could find something they liked. Our main complaints were that there could have been a little more variety and that the main restaurant is on the smaller side. Unfortunately, we also noticed quite a few flies around the cold-food area during our stay, which wasn’t particularly pleasant and is something the hotel should address. 🏴‍☠️ Resort / Facilities The theming throughout the resort is excellent and really adds to the experience, especially for children. The children’s bedroom was a particular highlight. It had sea and pirate-themed wallpaper, with the bunk beds designed to look like a pirate ship. It was a really nice touch and added to the overall pirate theme of the resort. Our children loved it. Wi-Fi was available throughout the complex, which was useful. From an accessibility point of view, we found the resort generally very good. We had both a wheelchair and a baby buggy with us and had no major problems getting around. There are ramps and accessible entrances to the pools. The resort is slightly hilly, but overall we managed without any significant issues. The main accessibility downside was getting to the amphitheatre, as some of the routes are uneven and quite hilly. 💶 Additional Costs This was probably our biggest criticism of the resort. There are quite a few additional charges that can quickly add up: * Cot – €8 per night * Safe – €25 * Premium All Inclusive – additional cost * Cups – additional charge * Water park inflatables – additional cost * Water park sunbeds – €8 per bed We also found the difference between All Inclusive and Premium All Inclusive quite confusing. At times, it felt less like an all-inclusive package and more like there were lots of opportunities to pay extra. Another thing to be aware of is the checkout arrangement. Checkout is at 10am, while the All Inclusive package finishes at midday. If you want to extend your All Inclusive after this, there is another charge of around €30 per adult and €15 child and this only for lunch. We also paid for a late check out room at an additional cost of €10 per hours and this is only for the room not food or drinks ect. 🌊 Water Park The water park itself is excellent. There is lots to do and everything was very clean. However, if you want to get the most out of it, get there early. Sunbeds are an additional €8 each, and we would definitely recommend hiring your own inflatable if you want to use the slides without waiting as long. There are also three slides that you must weigh under 90kg and they weigh you in public so please bare this in mind. The prices when we visited were: * Single inflatable – €7 + €1 refundable deposit * Double inflatable – €9 + €1 refundable deposit Without hiring an inflatable, some of the queues for the slides can be quite long. ⭐ Overall Overall, we had a really good family holiday at Magic Pirates Island Resort. The rooms were excellent, the resort was clean and well maintained, the theming was fantastic and there was plenty for the children to do. We were particularly impressed with how manageable the resort was with a wheelchair and a baby buggy. Accessibility can be a concern when booking family resorts, but we had no major issues during our stay. The main negatives were the number of additional charges, the confusing All Inclusive/Premium All Inclusive system, some of the hills and uneven surfaces, and the queues at the water park. It is a very relaxing environment, everything is geared towards children, and there is plenty to keep them entertained. Overall: a very good family resort, but be prepared for the additional costs.."
