Eurostars Porto Douro

"Highly recommended for its proximity to the historic center (Ribeira district). Clean and very spacious room and bathroom. There was even a bidet in the bathroom!!! The breakfast is very rich and of an excellent standard. Kind and helpful staff. If I were to return to Porto, this hotel would be our choice!"

"We had a very disappointing experience at this hotel, primarily because of a serious issue with the security of our room and the complete lack of follow-through afterward. A pair of AirPods was stolen from our room, and based on the circumstances, we believe they were taken by a member of the cleaning staff. We immediately spoke with the front desk and were told that we would be reimbursed for the cost of replacing them. It has now been over a month, and despite that promise, we still have not received any reimbursement. What makes this even more concerning is that two other friends in our group also noticed that their rooms appeared to have been entered or disturbed after they had already been cleaned. While we cannot say exactly what happened in those rooms, it added to an already uncomfortable feeling that guests' rooms and belongings were not being properly respected or secured. The theft itself was bad enough, but the hotel's failure to follow through on the reimbursement they promised has made the situation even more frustrating. We expected this issue to be taken seriously and resolved promptly. Instead, more than a month later, we are still waiting. I would strongly caution future guests about leaving valuables in their rooms and would hope management takes these concerns much more seriously going forward."
