Florasol Residence Hotel

"This is a lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. It's located in an excellent area close to a local (very reasonably priced) supermarket, bus stops, tour agents (Madeira Sunshine tours - excellent) gift shops, tourist office, restaurants and a wonderful bakery. We were very lucky to have a front studio apartment with the most beautiful seaview. It made my holiday just perfect. The restaurant/bar area is very modern and clean along with the reception area. The corridors and apartments although very clean do need a little updating as they are looking a bit tired but overall this is a fabulous hotel and I have no complaints"

"Our first visit to Madeira and just returned from a week at the Hotel Florasol on the Estrada Monumental and it was amazing. We had a 1 bedroom sea view and it was so spacious, a balcony off the bedroom and the living room. The kitchen fully equipped with microwave, fridge and hob/oven should you wish to cook. Pool was immaculately kept, plenty sun loungers. We were on B&B basis and the breakfast selection was fantastic. The staff were lovely and no problem if you needed anything. Housekeeping were in every day too. Great location on the Estrada Monumental, close to shopping/bars/restaurants/buses into Funchal/taxi ranks. Its also only a 10 minute walk down to the Lido which is absolutely amazing but it is quite a steep walk down for anyone with walking difficulties, however my 81 year old husband with neuroma in feet did it (although a bit slower than the average person!). We did the Cable Car up to Monte and the Toboggan ride down which was such an experience, although a challenge for me as afraid of heights but so pleased I did it. We had a day trip around the NorthWest of the island which was spectacular, the highlight for myself was swimming in the lava pools at Porto Moniz. There is still more we would like to see so we would definitely return to Madeira and especially this hotel."

"Stay at this hotel with the Mrs and 2 young kids. Greeted and checked in quickly rooms weren’t ready yet so left our luggage and went out to explore. Rooms are quite spacious the bedroom and lt becomes with kitchen stuff and fridge. Beds were comfortable and internet was good. The pool is a decent size as well. Hotel location is in a nice area loads of restaurants and shops around and super market just up the road. The sightseeing bus is not to far as well. The only thing was the hotel room was so warm had to leave the fan on 24/7 to cool down or best bet to sit on the balcony outside enjoying the breeze."
