"We stayed here last month in the first week of May with our 3 children and had the most wonderful time. The hotel is fabulous, beautiful inside and the outdoor pool area and play area is fabulous as well. Lovely warm indoor pool too if you get a day that is a bit cooler. I couldn’t imagine a hotel more suited to a family holiday, they have a soft play connected to the bar for our 2 year old so we could see her play while we had a drink, and the games room and huge outdoor play castle kept our two boys happy. The entertainment team were incredible too, so friendly and constantly finding different things for the kids to do and bringing out new things to entertain them (darts/basketball/chess/games consoles etc).
The hotel is great, but the staff really make it something very special. Nothing is too much trouble. From the moment you arrive, you have a warm welcome from all of the reception team. We were greeted by Sonia on our arrival who was so welcoming. The serving staff there are all just so lovely. A special mention to Andrea, who made such an effort with our little ones and in particular our baby daughter. Every morning she would come and say hello to her and go and warm up some milk for us for her bottle, she was always so kind. I also must add, every member of staff we asked for milk for our baby’s bottle over the entire week, warmed it for us and gave it to us free of charge. We were not expecting this and were assuming we’d have to pay for it, but kind gestures like that really make you feel so looked after there.
The breakfast was delicious, so much choice and something for everyone. Even the coffee from the coffee machines was lovely and I find that rare for a hotel. The food was regularly freshened and there was plenty. We only ate in the hotel one evening as we like to go out, but there was a very nice choice on the buffet and we did enjoy it.
The room was perfect for us, we had an interconnecting door between two rooms so there was lots of space for the 5 of us. Rooms cleaned every day, comfortable beds and spacious bathroom with a good shower.
Now the real bonus of this hotel is having free access to the water park next door for your entire stay. It is fantastic and our kids (aged 10, 6 and 2) all loved it! You couldn’t run out of things to do, it’s huge! Lovely smaller slide area for the little ones and some fantastic rides and slides for the older ones. Best water park we’ve been to!
We went out most evenings for food. We went to Vilamoura one of the days, which was a pretty marina and some nice shops, but we felt was quite busy and touristy. We preferred the quieter more local feel area of Quarteira, lots of lovely restaurants here and it’s a bit cheaper too. Only a few euros in an uber there and back. There we had a lovely Italian meal in Pizzería S. Martino and some beautiful Indian food in INDIkitchen.
Our favourite restaurant however, was just down the road from the hotel, a Mexican place called Amigos Mexicanos. The food was incredible and the kids options were good too. The family that run it are so nice. Everything is cooked fresh to order and it is so reasonably priced. We loved it so much we went twice and we never usually do that on holiday but we had to go back again for our last night before going home. Definitely go here if you’re visiting!
A couple of evenings we went back to the hotel bar for a drink before bed, they had good entertainment. One evening there was a fabulous singer on who we enjoyed listening to. Unfortunately, I cannot remember his name, but there is a young bar man there who made the most amazing cocktails!
Overall, we had the best holiday here and we were all gutted to be leaving. We are already looking at dates we could go back next year. Could not recommend it more highly. Thank you for the most wonderful family holiday!"
