"Overall pretty good hotel. Great location and easy to get around. Pool was great, we were self catering so had all the basic equipment needed to make our own food. Hotel staff, overall lovely apart from one lady with short brown hair and glasses. Extreme attitude and horrible service. Shouldn’t really be working in a customer based environment. Horrendous Everyone was else was super Lovely though! :)"

"This hotel was lovely, basic clean and had everything you could need. I'm sure it was 2 star and honestly I don't know how. We stayed at the Mirachoro 2 and the apartment was massive! It had everything you would need for self catering but we ate out as there was so much choice and the prices are very reasonable. We ate at the hotel sometimes, the food was good although the breakfast while nice I felt wasn't great value for money compared to others we had in pria da roche. The drinks we lovely but I would say get the cocktails in the evening when the gentleman is working the bar as opposed to during the day. The pineapple mojito is beautiful. While small the pool area is nice and we had no issues getting a sun bed. Taxis are reasonable, about 4 Euro in to pria da roche and in to portimao itself. There is a cafe right next to the hotel called the Funky lounge, great food and reasonable prices. We booked a boat trip through reception to explore the caves 30 euro for 2 hours. Would recommend this also. Well worth the money. Would absolutely recommend this hotel for a cheap clean place to stay."

"The room was very good. Ours certainly had comfortable mainly modern furnishings and most of what was needed in the kitchen. The whole place was very clean. We were fortunate with south and west facing balconies. It is Not very noisy, except when the odd guest is shouting at night or early morning. We thought the hotel Well located ( you can walk you know, I am over 80 and it was no problem !) for Portimao, Vau beach (the best) and PDR (if you really want to go there). There were several small supermarkets (eg Auchan) closer than Lidl/Aldi/Continente (very good); but hey you’re self catering, so do your homework and do a big shop (come back in a taxi - once). The railway station is only about half an hour’s walk with cheap trains to Lagos or to the west… half-price for over 65s. The key to holiday bookings is research in advance! In this case do not go here if you want space to lounge by a big pool in a garden or have easy access to a beach. This is an excellent place to stay if you want to get around and see things. There are many restaurants in walking distance, including one of the best in the area on the back road to Vau…. The Fifth Empire (Quinto Império), again do your research. The only bad issue we had was the failure on some days of the maids to get to our room even though we had been out most of the day ! Otherwise would have given them 5 points."
