Costa d'Oiro Ambiance Village

"It is a totally misleading hotel, if you can call it that. It is not a village and to advertise it as such is totally misleading. It is simply a few apartment building along a street with cars passing by and you have to be careful crossing the road from reception. I would rate the actual accommodation as 3 star. The photos on their website are misleading. We booked for four nights and told them we didn’t want to stay. They did give a refund for 3 nights and offered to let us stay that night. It was 9 pm so we went to their restaurant. While we were eating the reception girl came into the restaurant and told us her boss would not let us sleep there unless we paid for two nights. We walked out and caught an Uber to Lagos losing one night accomodation and stress whilst looking for somewhere to stay."

"The Costa d’Oiro Ambiance Village hotel complex consists of several separate facilities, each of which has its own pool. The location is quiet and central; you can reach one of the small beaches of Ponta da Piedade on foot in a few minutes. Lagos’ old town is also reachable on foot; the walk takes only 20 minutes, and you are at the harbor and Meia Praia after 40 minutes. The facilities are beautifully designed; the hotel complex offers double rooms, studios, and apartments. I had a double room with a balcony, which offered enough space. Air conditioning, a free safe, and a drying rack on the balcony round out the offer. The reception is staffed 24 hours a day. The breakfast buffet is very good, as it offers a really large selection. You can have breakfast in the restaurant or outside, because the main building's pool area provides tables with umbrellas for this. This area is also used at noon for snacks or in the evening by restaurant guests. This is a small point of criticism, because it makes swimming in the pool or sunbathing on a lounge chair feel a bit strange. However, you can switch to one of the other pool areas. The Costa d’Oiro team is very friendly and attentive. You feel welcome. I had expressed a request regarding the room before arrival, which was fulfilled without me having to ask. Great. On my birthday, I received a gift and a handwritten card. Awesome. The hotel complex has its own spacious parking lot with a barrier. Great, because that way you can rent a vehicle for a few days in a relaxed manner and park conveniently next to the facility. I had a great time and recommend the Costa d’Oiro Ambiance Village without reservation."

"We stayed here for almost a week as part of a longer trip. Lovely and quiet. The hotel, staff, rooms and facilities were superb. We stayed bed and breakfast and it was really good; great selection of fresh foods and lovely staff. It’s about a 15 min walk into Lagos centre, which was easy. We were close to a couple of beautiful beaches. I would highly recommend."
