"We stayed here Friday 2nd October - Friday 9th October as a family of 7 and couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
The hotel was one of the best we’ve stayed at and can’t recommend highly enough, especially for people with children.
Very clean and staff are very friendly. There’s a dedicated block in the hotel for rooms for families, which is a lovely concept- though did mean me, my husband and toddler were separated from our in laws as they were in the main building- but not an issue as it was loads easier to get to the pools.
The family rooms were huge with so much space, one of the better hotel rooms we’ve stayed at. The kids bed was a sofa bed, in its own “section” of the room but not behind any doors etc so you could still see your child. Though you had to walk down 2/3 steps to get there, fine for our three year old but go careful with smaller toddlers or new walkers!
Rooms were clean and beautiful, and the balcony very safe for kids compared to a standard balcony. All the surfaces (tables/sides etc) had a glass panel on them but this was very easily moved and could’ve slid off. Very dangerous with kids around. We very promptly removed the one off the table next to our little boys bed, not worth the risk. A design fault for the family rooms maybe?
The fridge and AC in our room also didn’t seem to work properly, though we didn’t keep anything in the fridge anyway and there was a ceiling fan- which was enough in October.
Rooms came with a hair dyer, tv, plenty of plug sockets, plenty of storage, and a bath which was really handy.
The pools were cold but absolutely fine when you’re in, not as cold as people make them out to be! There’s two large pools on the bottom level with a jacuzzi connected onto the main pool, and a baby/toddler pool. A gated pool on the next level next to the splash park, and a park on the top level.
There’s absolutely no need to reserve sunbeds as there are plenty, very few people did reserve sunbeds. However, many of the sunbeds around the baby/toddler pool are in the shade- so sunbeds in this area in the sun were reserved quickly. I personally don’t mind if people lay their towels down, go for breakfast, and come back. But it’s annoying to see when towels are down from 7am ish, and nobody turns up at the beds until around 10:30/11, especially when it’s a large group around the baby pool. We were a group of 7 and never needed to reserve our beds around the baby/toddler pool to get ones in the sun as we were straight out after breakfast at about 8:30am - but it was annoying to see. Though this isn’t the fault of the hotel
The snack bar was an actual decent snack bar with plenty of variety running most of the day, and the food at the buffet never became boring. But we would recommend trying the Mediterranean restaurant, it was lovely and definitely made a change. We didn’t get chance to try the oriental restaurant!
The pool bar was shut when we went due to being out of season, which we was expecting, but the main bar was only a short walk away and there were plenty of self serve stations around too. It wasn’t a problem to us at all, you could still take your drinks and sit in the pool table and chairs if you wished.
We were disappointed to find that the pool party that is usually on Thursdays didn’t happen- I think again because of it being out of season, but it was definitely hot enough with plenty of guests around for it to be on, especially when water aerobics/water dance class was still going on.
You couldn’t fault the animation team, there were constant activities but nothing was overbearing or too loud; you couldn’t ever be bored here.
We notified as well that everything was accessible to our knowledge, we’re very lucky to not have any wheelchair users in our family and our little boy no longer needed a buggy, but there were so many ramps and all the ground seemed to be level and smooth. It’s one of the few hotels where having a buggy for us wouldn’t have been an issue.
Then only downside is that entertainment wasn’t great, but again, maybe it’s better in season?
The kids mini disco was often chaotic and definitely not enough space for all the children. There were seats to either side of the main area where the children could dance/play, but also two rows of chairs and tables in this area in the middle too in front of the stage . It could’ve done without these two rows because there just wasn’t enough space for all the kids running around
On our check out day, our pick up was 7:55am and we found out the hotel put on an earlier breakfast for people leaving between 4:30am - 7:15am which was really handy and appreciated!
Honestly I really can’t fault this place. We already have our 2027 holiday booked but we are eyeing it up again for 2028. We will be back!"
