Hotel Olimpo Le Terrazze

"We came to this hotel 3 years ago and wow how it has changed....our all experience was so different this time...its in need of a major update...not kept as clean...cleaners did there best but seemed rushed....the food was still good...and drinks ok...but our main concern was on our first night...we had settled down for the night and within a few minutes we had someone pulling at the patio door trying to get in....he was a very tall young man...as we are in our 70s we found it very disturbing....after a few tries he went away...I immediately rang reception...and spoke to a young lady...she said she would send someone....5 minutes later I got another phone call from her and she said oh its all sorted now...it was another guest who was drunk and laughed! Then bye bye and put the phone down...no check ...no apology...nothing....we reported this to the jet2 rep the following day....but we will definitely not be returning..."

"We stayed at this hotel for one week. It was a big group of us. Booked with jet2 half board. We all enjoyed our stay. Yes hotel and rooms a bit dated but it was very clean, towels changed daily. We had dedicated table for our group what made quite comfortable every time we was coming to eat. Food was ok, some day better than others. The news from hotel is stunning and you have a chance to upgrade, definitely to it, you won't regret. Overall we had a pleasant stay."

"We stayed at this hotel during April 2025 and enjoyed it so much we decided to return April 2026. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to our friends and family. We will be rebook and return to the hotel. We have seen a number of negative reviews and wonder why others have been unhappy with their experience. Througout both vacations, we have truly enjoyed ourselves. The staff have been fantastic, and the location is perfect. The Hotel is set in a hillside overlooking the sea and the town of Letojanni. It provides stunning views of the coastline. On both occasions, we had a sea view from our balcony, the sunrises are beautiful and worth an early rise to see. Our room was cleaned daily and of a good standard. Some have commented on the hotel being tired and in need of an update. We found the hotel to have bags of charm with scilian tiling on the floor and walls. Throughout, the hotel is clean and of a good standard. We saw no evidence of the hotel being allowed to be in a state of poor repair. The staff are fantastic. From the point of checking in and throughout our stay, we felt welcome. Even the grounds and maintenance staff treated us with a warm "Hello". Staff on reception, in the bar and in the restaurant were friendly and polite. It was nice to see the same staff throughout the hotel on our 2nd visit. The food was of a good standard with a varied selection of meats, pasta, fruit and seafood. We never had a bad meal. We note some have commented on a limited selection of food at meal times. We were not disappointed and enjoyed each meal provided. The food was delicious and freshly cooked. The location is perfectly positioned to explore the area. The beach is a few minutes from the hotel. As you arrive at the beach, if you turn left and walk along the coast road, you will find the centre of Letojanni with several bars, restaurants and shops. The train station is a few minutes from the hotel and there is a bus stop close by. We were able to visit Catania, Taormina, Isola Bella and Castlemola with ease. There is a taxi rank at the foot of the hotel but at €20 each way between Letojanni and Taormina, we settled for the bus at €1.90 each way. We enjoyed both stays in Sicilly. The hotel and staff did not disappoint. Hotel Olimpo-Le Terrazze quite simply is an amazing place. We have had two fantastic holidays there and plan for many more. Phil, Amanda & Grace.
