"Really great stay, staff were really pleasant and accommodated us when we asked for anything. Rooms are spacious, the bed was slightly harder for my liking but still slept well. Great location 8 minute walk to the termini so found it very easy. Breakfast was lovely and enough to start the day. Overall worth a stay if you’re on a budget and I would stay there again."

"Overall, we had a nice stay at Hotel Windrose and would recommend it for anyone visiting Rome for a few days. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, and we honestly couldn’t fault them at all. The hotel was very clean and in a great location, just a short walk from the main train station and approximately 20–30 minutes’ walk from most of the main tourist attractions. One thing we really appreciated was being able to leave our luggage securely at the hotel both before check-in and after check-out. This was really convenient and meant we could make the most of our time in Rome without having to carry our bags around. However, there were a few things that could be improved. The shower was incredibly small, which made showering quite difficult, especially as there was no shelving to put shampoo, conditioner or shower gel on. I had to leave everything on the shower floor, and because the space was so cramped, it was difficult to pick everything back up again. On our first night, we also weren’t provided with a proper duvet, just a thin sheet, which left us feeling incredibly cold. This was resolved on our second night, but I would recommend checking your bedding when you arrive if you experience the same issue. Unfortunately, the TV didn’t offer an English-language option or subtitles, so we weren’t able to make use of this facility. The breakfast was also disappointing, with much less variety than we expected from the pictures advertised on the hotel’s website. Finally, although there were lots of mirrors in the room, there wasn’t a suitable full-length or well-positioned mirror for doing your hair and makeup, which would have been useful. The noise levels in the room were fine, the walls were a little thin so you could sometimes hear the people in the room next to you, but as for outdoor noise this did not bother us at all! One thing to be aware of is the city tax, which was €6 per person, per night, payable at check-in. We expected this charge, so it wasn’t an issue for us, and paying it upfront meant we didn’t have to worry about sorting it out at the end of our stay. Overall, Hotel Windrose is a clean, friendly hotel in a fantastic location, making it a good base for exploring Rome over a few days. Despite a few areas that could be improved, particularly the shower facilities and breakfast selection, we enjoyed our stay and feel that a few small changes would make the experience even better."

"We spent a short stay here the hotel is clean reception staff are good and have a good knowledge of the Rome area the hotel provides a good continental breakfast Beware the hotel charges a 6 euro per person per night tourist charge they have a bar and terrace the hotel is close to The Termini Station 10min walk and where you can catch both bus and train connections the only issue we found was the shower cubicle was very small all in all we had a good stay"
