Villa Glori

"We booked Standard Doubles for single use, we were given ‘basic rooms’. When I complained the Lady behind reception showed me a single room to prove a point, it was more basic than our rooms and said that the rooms we had were Doubles for single use. I pointed out that they were not what we booked and paid extra for with Jet2. She said she would try and sort out a ‘free upgrade’ and then nothing happened. We booked our trip in December 2024. The hotel is clean, in a residential area away from the busier tourist neighbourhoods. I am not happy about the way we were treated, and on that basis I wouldn’t recommend the hotel. You should be given the room you booked and paid for."

"A gem of a budget hotel located within walking distance of Piazza Del Popolo. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and the rooms are clean and basic. Breakfast is self service with coffee and tea on tap. Local trams and buses pass every 30 minutes which is ideal for getting into the city quickly. Hotel Villa Glori is situated in a quiet area of Rome which boasts many local cafes, bars and restaurant’s."

"Had an uncomfortable stay. We booked the triple room for us and our daughter. We were given a small room, where a single bed had been added. There was hardly any room to move around. No space left to open our suitcases. The bathroom was small as well, while the shower cubicle was miniature. It was for for a 10 year-old. The worst part - the municipality cut water supply to the neighborhood for some pipeline repair work, which the hotel didn't care to inform. When we woke up early morning to use the bathroom, we realised there was no water. There was no attempt to make the situation comfortable for guests. Small water bottles were provided at the lobby for when someone needed. For us, visiting from a different country and with a five year old, there was nothing we could do. It is the hotels responsibility to make it comfortable for guests. But they just shrugged and said it was not their fault. Water supply resumed late night. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast spread was fine. The neighborhood is good."
