"I stayed here for 5 nights with a group of friends and family, and overall, we had a pleasant stay. The hotel has a few important advantages, especially if you are visiting the city and surroundings by train, but there are also some things that could be improved.
What we liked:
* Excellent location for train travel: The hotel is only about a 5–7 minute walk from the central station, which was the main reason we chose it. Since we were travelling every day, this was extremely convenient.
* Supermarket nearby: There is a PAM supermarket just around the corner, which is very useful for picking up snacks, drinks, or anything else you might need.
* Friendly and helpful staff: Everyone at reception was kind, welcoming, and willing to help whenever needed.
* Breakfast: We booked our stay with breakfast included and were pleasantly surprised by the variety. There were several types of cheese and salami, eggs, fresh fruit and vegetables, yoghurt, cornflakes, around 4–5 types of croissants, savoury snacks, juices, and decent coffee. If you don’t like the coffee from the machine, you can also order coffee separately.
* Bathroom and housekeeping: The bathroom was nice and clean. I particularly liked the motion-sensor light, which is very convenient when using the bathroom during the night. Towels were changed daily and the beds were made regularly.
What could be improved:
* Room size and layout: Our room was very small and had a metal partition between the bed and the desk, with the TV mounted on it. As a result, the TV was directly at the foot of the bed and quite close to our eyes, which was not particularly comfortable.
* Air conditioning and ventilation: The air conditioning needs to be activated/adjusted through reception. The ventilation was also quite cold, and we couldn’t adjust or turn it off ourselves. It would be much more convenient if guests had direct control over the temperature and ventilation.
* Soundproofing: The rooms are not very well soundproofed. During the night it was generally quiet, but from around 6 a.m. onwards, noise from outside and other areas of the hotel became noticeable.
* Storage: There is no proper wardrobe, only around six clothes hangers near the entrance. For a stay of several nights, especially for two people, this is not really enough.
* Small details: It would have been nice to have a couple of proper drinking glasses in the room. Also, one of the elevators has a large crack in its mirror and should probably have the mirror replaced.
The surrounding area:
The hotel’s location is very convenient for anyone who needs easy access to the central station. However, the immediate surroundings are not particularly pleasant. There are several clothing and gadget shops directly opposite the hotel, and the area seemed to attract groups of people who were often noisy, drinking alcohol, leaving rubbish around, and sometimes approaching or begging from tourists. Because of this, I would advise solo travellers, particularly women, to be aware of the surroundings and take this into consideration when choosing the hotel.
Overall:
A convenient hotel with friendly staff, a good breakfast, and an excellent location if proximity to the central station is your priority. The rooms are quite small and could benefit from better temperature control, soundproofing, and storage. The hotel itself was pleasant, but the immediate surroundings are something I would consider before booking, especially if travelling alone."
