"Great base in beautiful Maiori to see the amalfi coast. Right over the road from the beach and a short walk to the ferry point. Other new guests were offered a welcome drink which was a nice touch unfortunately we we not offered this. Breakfast was plenty but the same every day. Overall ok though . We stayed in superior room with balcony. The balcony was the best part of the room though it was functional. Didn't feel like 4 star and could do with updating but would stay there again though."

"Spent 3 nights at the Hotel Panorama in Maiori on the Amalfi Coast of Italy. We had a room with a balcony that overlooked the beach and sea, and it was so nice in the mornings and evenings to sit on the balcony with our coffee or drinks and just look out at the beauty. First of all, we spent a considerable amount of time trying to determine which city on the Amalfi Coast we wanted to stay in. We knew we didn't want the crowd and expense of Positano or Amalfi, but also did not want to be able to easily visit those cities. Maioru fit the bill. For us, it was a perfect blend of tourist services but not too touristy. Unlike Positano when we visited, Maiori was not crowded at all. I originally had looked at renting an apartment in the older part of town but reading through reviews of them they all mentioned the hills and stairs to climb to get to them. My wife and I are in our 60's in relatively good shape, but the thought of dragging our luggage up hills and stairs was not appealing to us. Hotel Panorama is a 5 to 10 minute walk on flat land from the bus stops (we took Amalfi Airport Link from Naples Airport, which I also recommend). It is also a 5 to 10 minute walk to the ferry landing, which made it easy for us to visit Amalfi and Positano. And you are literally just across the street from the beach and restaurants and bars. The room was nice and clean and the staff was very helpful. There was also a delicious breakfast each morning on the rooftop patio that had eggs, bacon, sausage, and an incredible selection of pastries. If you are going to the Amalfi Coast, and looking for a place quiet and less crowded than the Positanos and Amalfis, then take a look at Maiori and Hotel Panorama."

"Just returned from a great week at The Hotel Panorama, Reception staff at check in were welcoming and happily explained everything we needed to know. We knew we had booked a room with a 'city view' as that was all that was available when we booked. Entered room 105 which was dated but spotlessly clean, bed comfortable and air con working. Opened to blind to look at the view and all we could see was a wall and a small yard. Went down to reception and said we had booked a city view but could only see a wall, the receptionist was extremely helpful and took us to room 102 ad asked if this was ok, it had a view down the road of some apartment blocks and shops plus the sun was shining in to the room. We thanked him and agreed to take it. Next morning my wife went into the shower and the bathroom completely flooded! After breakfast on the Terrace (amazing view and excellent choices), we informed reception staff and they said maintenance would have a look at it, on our return late in the evening we were told they had been to the room couldn't find a fault and told us not to put the shower on full and it would be OK! It was but I discovered the reason for the flood was, there was no silicone between the wall and the shower glass screen, we did manage to have a few minor floods but too be honest we didn't fancy the upheaval of changing rooms again. Apart from that the Hotel was great, pool small but never busy, comfortable sunbeds with a great view. Private beach is good and safe, 2 sunbeds and a parasol 40 euros on a weekend and 15 during the week for front row and 10 for the other rows, again very comfortable. Would I return, definite yes, provided I could book one of the updated rooms! The hotel is ideally situated for the ferries to the different resorts and the buses plus of course the beach, staff are excellent too."
