"We spent five wonderful nights at Kassandra Bay Resort and had one of the most relaxing holidays we've ever had. We weren't quite sure what to expect before we arrived, but the hotel exceeded our expectations in every way.
The first thing that stood out was how incredibly clean everything was. The housekeeping team did an outstanding job, with fresh towels every day and the entire hotel kept spotless throughout our stay. Everywhere you looked there was a real sense of care and pride in maintaining the hotel to such a high standard.
What really made the experience special, though, was the people. Every member of the team was warm, welcoming and genuinely eager to help. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble, and someone was always on hand to answer questions or offer assistance with a smile. There was an obvious sense of pride in what they do, and it showed in every interaction.
The hotel offers all the qualities you'd hope for from a luxury resort, including exceptional service, beautiful accommodation and thoughtful attention to detail. At the same time, it never felt formal or intimidating. Instead, the atmosphere was relaxed, friendly and completely unpretentious. We felt comfortable from the moment we arrived, which made it incredibly easy to switch off and simply enjoy our holiday.
Our room was beautifully furnished, with a spacious, modern bathroom and thoughtful touches that made a real difference. We particularly appreciated the comfortable cushioned seating on the balcony and the well-padded sunbeds around both the pools and on the beach. It's those little details that elevate a stay from good to exceptional.
The food was consistently excellent. Breakfast offered plenty of variety and everything was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed eating in the hotel's restaurants throughout our stay, although we quickly realised the portions were very generous. We definitely should have shared more dishes rather than over-ordering, but everything we tried was superb. Having several dining options within the hotel was great, and the independent taverna next door on the beach was also excellent, giving us even more choice.
One of our favourite experiences was using the water taxi from the hotel's beach jetty into Skiathos Town. It's a wonderful way to travel and gives easy access to the town's fantastic restaurants, bars, harbour and lively atmosphere. We loved simply sitting by the waterfront watching the boats come and go.
The hotel enjoys a beautiful location, only around 10 to 15 minutes from the airport. The views across the bay are stunning, and we actually enjoyed watching the aircraft arriving in the distance over Skiathos. Despite being so close to the airport, aircraft noise was never an issue. It was equally relaxing watching the yachts, ferries and water sports from the beach.
We also treated ourselves to spa treatments, which were excellent. The spa team were welcoming, professional and made the whole experience incredibly relaxing. We'd highly recommend making time for a treatment during your stay.
We spent most of our time enjoying the two outdoor saltwater pools and the beautiful sandy beach. We weren't sure how we'd feel about saltwater pools before arriving, but we ended up loving them. Swimming in crystal-clear water without the smell of chlorine was a pleasant surprise. The beach itself was beautifully clean, with soft sand and wonderfully clear water.
There is also a separate adults-only area for guests staying in certain room categories, complete with its own pool, which looked lovely. We didn't use it ourselves because the whole hotel felt calm and peaceful during our stay. Although it's clearly very family-friendly, it never felt like a busy family resort with noisy kids' clubs or constant entertainment. Instead, it struck the perfect balance, making it ideal for both couples and families who are simply looking for exceptional service, beautiful surroundings and somewhere to completely relax.
We've travelled to many places over the years, but we've rarely left a hotel already talking about when we'd return. Kassandra Bay Resort is the exception. The combination of exceptional service, immaculate surroundings, outstanding food and a genuinely relaxed atmosphere made this a holiday to remember. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to family and friends, and we're already looking forward to coming back."
