"We stayed in the Infinity Suite for six nights on our honeymoon as part of 3 different places. First and foremost, a huge shout out to Dinos, who was absolutely fantastic. He is a genuine credit to Alti Suites. From the moment we arrived he made us feel welcome, was always up for a chat. Give the man a pay rise and a bonus—he was a huge part of what made our stay so enjoyable. The service throughout our stay was excellent. Breakfast every morning was superb, housekeeping was faultless, and the team went above and beyond to help us. They arranged our rental car, phoned Santo Wines to secure us a dinner reservation, and organised our taxi to the ferry port. The level of personal service really was exceptional. The only caveat is that if you are someone who values complete privacy, the attentiveness may feel a little more involved than you would prefer. The location itself is beautiful, and the caldera views from the property are stunning. However, it is worth remembering that caldera views are relatively common across Santorini, so they perhaps aren’t quite as exclusive as they first appear. One thing prospective guests should also be aware of is the high turnover of visitors. Many guests stay for only one or two nights, giving the hotel a busier feel than you might expect from a luxury honeymoon destination. The hotel kindly welcomed us with a complimentary bottle of white wine and breadsticks for our honeymoon, which was a lovely touch. However, prior to arrival we were offered honeymoon room decorations for €280 (rose petals and similar extras), which felt extremely overpriced for what was being offered, and if more reasonably priced I would have bought this. I am not a fan of pointlessly throwing money into the aegean. Unfortunately, my biggest criticism concerns the Infinity Suite itself. I deliberately chose not to raise these issues during our honeymoon because I didn’t want to spoil what was a very special trip, but I do feel future guests should understand exactly what they’re booking. The suite is marketed in a way that strongly suggests you can relax on your private patio while enjoying uninterrupted caldera views. In reality, our patio had no seated caldera view whatsoever, as the plunge pool itself blocks the outlook. If you were sitting on the terrace, you simply could not see the caldera as the promotional photographs imply. To actually enjoy the panoramic view, you either had to be standing, sitting on a single elevated sun lounger positioned above the plunge pool, or actually be in the plunge pool itself. For us, as honeymooners, this was particularly disappointing. There were no two sun loungers together overlooking the caldera, meaning we couldn’t simply relax side-by-side while enjoying the view. At this price point, I genuinely expected something as basic as two comfortable sun loungers together overlooking the scenery—something you would often find at far more modest hotels. Privacy was another major disappointment. Our suite sat beside the housekeeping/service room, which staff accessed throughout the day. The terrace also overlooked a public clifftop viewpoint where visitors regularly parked and gathered to watch the sunset. Rather than feeling secluded, our outdoor space often felt surprisingly exposed. We were overlooked from above at every angle. At one point another couple wandered onto what we believed was our private terrace to take photographs, and later even entered our patio area. This wasn’t really their fault—the boundaries between private and communal space simply weren’t obvious in the infinity suite. Likewise, guests regularly walked through the area immediately in front of our plunge pool because this was one of the best places from which to admire the caldera and was a walkway to other rooms. As a result, the only places from which you could properly enjoy the advertised view were in a public area. It almost made you feel like the single sun lounger was very exposing with people walking past. For us, this simply wasn’t the product we believed we had booked. Had the suite been marketed as having a restricted seated view and a less private outdoor area, our expectations would have been very different. Instead, I left feeling that the Infinity Suite had been somewhat misrepresented. Adding to that disappointment, the first half of our honeymoon at another Santorini property—at a very similar price point—outperformed Alti Suites in almost every aspect of the accommodation itself, particularly privacy, outdoor space and overall value. The only area where Alti unquestionably came out on top was the exceptional service provided by its staff. On the positive side, the room itself was very quiet and we slept brilliantly every night. Overall Alti Suites is a hotel with outstanding staff and genuinely exceptional service. Dinos, in particular, deserves special recognition for making our stay memorable. However, I believe the Infinity Suite is overpriced for the level of privacy and outdoor experience it actually offers. If you’re considering staying here, I would strongly recommend carefully studying the layout of the individual suite you’re booking rather than relying solely on the promotional photographs. Would I recommend Alti Suites? Yes—for the service alone. Just make sure you know exactly what you’re getting with your chosen room. For us, the accommodation didn’t quite live up to expectations, and while we still had a lovely honeymoon, I ultimately felt we hadn’t received the experience the Infinity Suite was advertised to provide. Especially considering it is a room at a higher price point."

"Visited recently and booked the penthouse suite with a private pool and hot tub. Positives: Stunning views of the Caldera, but then again almost every cliffside hotel offers amazing views. Spacious rooms, well appointed, with a massive two head rain shower. Breakfast was included, which was very good. Negatives; We booked the penthouse suite, assuming it would be very private, but this was not the case. The unit above us looked directly onto our pool and patio area. Our infinity pool was shared pool with our neighbors, which did not afford much privacy. Furthermore, our deck looked directly onto the patio of the unit below us, which I’m sure did not offer them much privacy either. The room both a hot tub, but it is actually just a dipping pool/whirlpool with the temperature set at 85°F (30 C). When we inquired after raising the temperature for an evening jacuzzi, we were informed that this was the highest temperature setting. They should, therefore, advertise this as a whirlpool and not a hot tub. While breakfast was very good, they have limited hours of service. I realize Europeans traditionally eat late, but the earliest breakfast time we could get was 8:15 AM. This forced us to miss a breakfast one morning on the account of an early excursion. The location is rather remote. If you seek peace and quiet, then this location is ideal, but it is 2.5 miles (4km) to Fira - you might consider renting a vehicle. All in all, a nice place, but for that price, we will probably look elsewhere next time we visit Santorini."
