"Situated right on the front (beach right across the main coastal road) and a popular concrete jetty with benches, which is overloaded every evening with people taking sunset shots. Lovely views from the sea view rooms right across the Aegean to the Turkish coastline. Beach is shingle, and beds and umbrellas need paying for as its a private beach. (7 Euro / £6 pp I think...we never pay to go on a beach, but that's what we were told). A group of Irish ladies we spoke to did just that and said it was fabulous. If you're happy to just take your towels and spread out on the pebbles like those ladies, you don't need to spend any money at all for a beach day. Great location, within easy walking distance (5 mins to Rhodes "new" town and 10 mins from Rhodes "old" walled town and harbour. You could throw a stone and hit Bar Street (if alcohol and late nights is your holiday treat), but the area is overflowing with bars and restaurants and your spoilt for choice. Supermarkets every 30 yards for any supplies you might need. Rent a car for approx £60, and drive to Lindos, see the Acropolis (£17 entry per person and a good walk up a big hill first), then do Faliraki, Anthony Quinn Bay, and the viewpoint above. If you've got sea legs, get on a catamaran and go to Marmaris for the day. All this can be done from the front desk.
The staff in the hotel are great, and happy to help, give advice and sort out all the normal holiday stuff ( car rental / quad & scooter rental / trips / fresh pool towels etc) and the rooms are cleaned daily. Rooms are air conned and cool. They'll ferry drinks to you all day by the pool if that's what you want, wearing a welcoming smile. We had no complaints, and our stay went smoothly. The pool bar menu is great and the portions are man sized, with some fries thrown on the side to make sure you can't finish it all. £8 for a club sandwich, £7 for a hot dog. We were B&B, and the breakfasts were buffet style and had everything. Omelette station too. Noise is the same for all the hotels on the front, as the main road passes in front of all of them. It's not distracting when your lying by the pool, and it's non existent in the sea view rooms with the patio doors closed. If you're out on the balcony in the evening the hustle and bustle below is a bonus to most people who like to drink wine and watch the world go by. All in all we had a wonderful time. 10 Euro refundable deposit for the towels, which you can change as many times as you like or need. Don't forget the Greek Tourist tax. It cost us £95 / 110 Euro the night we arrived. Feel a bit churlish putting this in the review as this is nothing to do with the hotel. I think its adults only as there were no children running around while we were there, and to be honest I didn't miss the little darlings either. They don't let you reserve sunbeds until after 10am, which I think is a good thing as it gives everybody a fair shout. I did have a bit of a giggle the first day we went to the pool as all of the sunbeds were taken, but the sun doesn't hit the pool area until after 11am, so everyone was sat in the shade. (Ha Ha!). Michael, the manager was very friendly and approachable, and a mine of information. We'd recommend the staff, the hotel, the location and Rhodes in general."
