"We arrived late at night and given the incorrect room, we had paid extra for a direct access pool room. My partner went down to reception to advise we had been given the incorrect room and was advised to speak to the manager in the morning. We decided to contact EasyJet and after two nights we were moved to the correct room. In hindsight we wouldn’t have complained and would have stayed in the room allocated. The first room, although not perfectly clean or as advertised was sufficient for somewhere to sleep. The bed was comfortable . The second room and the one we paid extra for was our worst nightmare! The shower head was broken, this was quickly resolved, however, the bathroom was dirty and we didn’t feel comfortable enough to even shower there. The skirting boards and floors were dirty in the room and cobwebs were all over the walls and behind the TV, the room hadn’t been cleaned properly in some time. The bed was uncomfortable and you could feel every single spring in the mattress. Neither of us slept that night because the sewage smell was overwhelming, we both felt extremely sick. We couldn’t even open the door for fresh air because the smell seemed to be coming from the pool area. There were also stains on the bedding and what appeared to be blood on the wall. Both rooms also had a third bed in for some reason, the first room this blocked the patio doors, the second room this blocked one side of the double bed and fridge. No idea why a room booked for a couple would require a third bed.
The food at breakfast time was cold, the eggs were runny but cold. The food was inedible and we only managed to eat once. The lunch time bbq was slightly better but not something to rave about. We didn’t even attempt the evening meal because of the poor quality of the other meals.
The bar man was unpleasant and didn’t appear to want to be there. On our first day we asked what drinks were available to be told alcohol and soft drinks - not very helpful at all!
The manager during the day was friendly and helpful and the communal areas appeared to be well kept from what we could see.
The photos advertised on the website, booking sites and social media are not true likeness of the hotel - there is a lot of fake advertising.
We couldn’t manage another night at this hotel and after the first 3 nights, we had no other choice but to seek alternative accommodation.
We booked this hotel based on what was advertised. The bad reviews came in after we had booked and we honestly thought the people leaving these reviews must be have been used to 5 star hotels, in reality, the good reviews must either be fake or they have such low standards.
This hotel is certainly not 4 star, not even close! AVOID this hotel at all costs and if you have this hotel booked and can change it, I would urge you to do that."
