"Thanks to everyone at Rodos Palladium for an excellent stay. The vibe truly is to relax, rest and enjoy the friendly, attentive service. As i had expected from other reviews, the staff were warm and welcoming, always aiming to please, truly five star service. They made this large, busy hotel feel like home away from home but with much better food and a huge choice of it. We stayed in an executive room with private pool which was very spacious with a separate lounge area before the private terrace with loungers and a sizeable pool to cool us down. We were in room 5004 which is mid way on the Mitsis Side of the private pool rooms. In Sept, this meant sun on the terrace up until around 2pm after which we were in the shade. But this only meant moving down to the hotel loungers on the beach for the rest of the afternoon, swimming in 27C water. Swim shoes are a good idea for pebbles along the shore. The water does get deep quite quickly so beware if you are not a swimmer. The hotel has facilities on the beach for changing as well as enabling people on wheel chairs into the sea if required. The hotel pool is huge, fabulously landscaped. Everywhere you go is spotless. Housekeeping do tend to enter the room with little notice, maybe hangers for the doors asking not to disturb or to go ahead and make up the room would be a good idea. On arrival, the hotel kindly left a bottle of processo in our room and a largebottle of still water was provided every day. They surprised us with a lovely cake for our anniversary, thank you. The hotel is well situated to get to Rhodes, 25min by bus outside the hotel or take the faliraki sea lines water taxi from the beach. It comes right up to the beach near a car park which is a short walk along the road towards the Marquise hotel. Keep an eye out for the sign. Times are limited, 20e person, one way. 20mins and you are close to the old town and new town. The bus station is close to the harbour , 2.50 one way and easy as all the stops are called out in advance as the bus travels back from Rhodes F18 stop for Rodos Palladium.
We hired a car for a day at the hotel desk, 65e, easy. The car was parked across the road. We thought we'd get around the island fast but after a trip to the butterfly valley in the middle, we just had enough time to have the evening in Lindos and get back. Know that petrol stations close at 9pm! Great leather shop close to the hotel (opposite the Colossus hotel) run by a nice Russian lady with loads of discounted coats, jackets, bags, trousers, skirts. We bought a few items. The Epsilon shopping centre is ok, mostly the same tourist nick nacks in some of the shops. Overall, a great holiday in a fab hotel which came with private transfers and complimentary dinner the first night. Join the harmony loyalty scheme to get a discount on the cost of your stay. Also note that you can pay as you go for dinner rather than paying up front for half board, handy if doing day trips into the evening. It was 35e per person for buffet dinner. Otherwise, You probably have to get a taxi to Faliraki for restaurants as there aren't really any walking distance of the hotel unless the other hotels accept non -guests. The weather is fab in Sept and probably Oct but Oct starts to mark the end of the season in rhodes so don't book too late. Highly recommend Rodos Palladium."
