"Stayed at the hotel from 16th Aug to 26th Aug. The location is good, very close to the beach with an underpass for easy access from the hotel. Two shops conveniently located just outside of the hotel with usual all the things you could need. Reception Team are very helpful with various requests and happy to arrange Taxis to the hotel which were quick to arrive. Taxi to Rhodes Old Town took about 10 mins.
Hotel is typically very clean and you see staff all over the resort cleaning/tidying up. Many of the staff speak very good English and the others who don’t try very hard to speak English or engage with you. They’re also very helpful and attentive to requests for help. We needed a late check-out and the hotel were happy to oblige. One of our party was unwell and the housekeeping team were quick to help us with our request. Saw a problem with the drain on the outside shower one night which the management saw very quickly which the maintenance team were fixing that evening.
The three pools all serve their purpose very well. Little kids pool besides the main hotel bar has a pirate ship with water slides. Nice and quiet besides the children having fun. The big pool is 1.2 meters deep so can swim well but not too deep to worry about those who don’t swim well. Attached to the big pool is a toddler pool which is only 0.4m deep so very safe (with supervision of course). This pool is the heart of the hotel where most people congregate during the day. The quiet pool situated close to the big pool and is surprisingly very quiet.
The Animation Team are amazing. Leslie (hilarious), JoJo and Alicia do a great job of being fun and inclusive for all but aren’t pushy or overbearing at all. They keep a steady program of activities going throughout the day (Adults Water Polo filled by Teens/Kids Water Polo is a highlight). Haven’t seen a team get so many people in a pool for aqua gym in quite some time. They also keep the mini club running - which my two little ones loved (nice and cool in the club too). They also put on face painting in most evenings for the children at the hotel which is a nice touch.
We had an Xtra Sol Family room which was spacious enough for two adults and two kids. There were also divider doors in the room which was a nice feature. We had a King sized bed and the kids had two decent sized single beds. We all found the beds very comfortable too. WiFi in our room and the hotel in general seemed pretty good too.
The pool bar was very good and the snack bar was a great alternative to the main restaurant for lunch. Fresh salad every day with a mix of fresh stone oven cooked pizzas, fries, grilled meats and all the beige food kids love. The bar offered all local liquors and mixers. Cocktails (with local liquor) and Mocktails for kid. There was also a separate soft drinks machine which you could help yourself to which meant less queueing. You can buy top shelf liquor at an extra cost.
The main restaurant in the hotel was good….always found a table. Plenty of staff always cleaning and turning over tables. Different dining themes each night of the week (here for 10 days so saw they keep a weekly schedule). The food was always nice and empty platters were quick to be changed out and replenished. Three live cooking stations on the go at all meals. Some nights they have a grill on the go out side too which was lovely. Self service Beer, wine (white/red/rosé), fizzy drinks, tea and coffee available at two different stations. Lots of fresh salad and fruit at each meal.
Overall, we’ve been really happy with our stay. Lovely hotel staff, lovely catering team, brilliant Animation team. Great weather. Generally very clean considering hotel was at full capacity.
Only slight negative, which appeared a common issue, was the sunbeds. People either leaving their towels on beds overnight or putting out towels at silly times during the night then not arriving until after lunch to use them if at all. The Animation Team saw this and tried to resolve this daily by asking guests not to do this. They removed towels if guests weren’t there and placed them tidily on a table to be collected. If the hotel could send staff down to do this at a reasonable time in the morning and make this a policy, it would resolve the issue easily. That being said, we never went without beds by the pool.
Would definitely stay here again. Would highly recommend this hotel if you have a family with children (of any age). If you want tranquility, maybe find an adults only resort."
