"We’ve just returned from another incredible stay at Mitsis Faliraki and once again it felt like coming home.
For my brother & I, this was our second visit, and for our parents it was their third. The fact that we keep returning says everything about this wonderful hotel.
From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel incredibly welcome. One of the things that meant the most to us was being recognised by staff members we had met during our first stay last year. Having people remember us, come over to say hello and welcome us back made us feel genuinely valued. It didn’t feel like we were arriving at a hotel. It felt like we were returning to a place where people were genuinely happy to see us again.
A very special mention has to go to Dionisis on reception. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel genuinely welcome and valued. He welcomed us back straight away, always took the time to stop and chat with us and was there whenever we needed anything throughout our stay. Nothing was ever too much trouble and he consistently went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. His friendliness, professionalism and genuine care are exactly the reason we love returning to Mitsis Faliraki.
Nikos who was a porter at reception also deserves a huge thank you. Although he wasn’t there when we first arrived, as soon as he saw us later in our stay, he came straight over to greet us and welcome us back. That simple gesture meant so much to us. Every time we saw him after that, he made time for a chat, asked how we were getting on and always had a smile on his face. He has such a warm and friendly personality and genuinely makes people feel at home.
Louisa, the Front Office Manager, is one of the reasons this hotel feels so special. She always made time to stop and speak with us, ask how our holiday was going and make sure everything was exactly as it should be. Her professionalism is exceptional, but it’s her genuine warmth and care that really stand out. Every interaction with her made us feel valued and looked after.
Over in the Italian restaurant, Matthew quickly became one of the highlights of our holiday. We always looked forward to seeing him, whether it was for his friendly welcome, his sense of humour or our little “Lovely Jubbly!” joke that became a running theme throughout the week. Those little moments are what turn a great holiday into a memorable one.
In the main restaurant, Yiannis was simply amazing. No matter how busy things were, he always found time for us and somehow managed to make every meal feel special. Alongside him, Inci was constantly checking that we had everything we needed and always greeted us with kindness and a smile.
One person who deserves special recognition is Navila in the à la carte restaurants. My mum has dietary requirements and cannot eat everything on the menus, but Navila was absolutely incredible. Every time we visited one of the à la carte restaurants, she went above and beyond to make sure suitable options were available. Nothing was ever too much trouble. She took the time to explain what could be adapted, checked everything carefully and made sure my mum could enjoy every meal without any concerns. The care and attention she showed meant so much to all of us.
The hotel itself is outstanding. Everywhere is spotless, the food is fantastic, the facilities are excellent and the attention to detail can be seen throughout the entire resort. Everything is maintained to such a high standard and you can tell how much pride the team takes in what they do.
What keeps bringing us back, though, is the people. Throughout our stay we were made to feel welcome, valued and genuinely cared for. Every member of staff we spoke to was friendly, approachable and happy to help.
There are so many other members of the team who helped make our holiday special and we’re sorry we can’t remember everyone’s names, but every single person we met contributed to making this another unforgettable stay.
If we could give more than 5 stars, we absolutely would.
Thank you to everyone at Mitsis Faliraki for making us feel at home once again. We arrived as returning guests, but left feeling like family. We may not have our next trip booked yet, but one thing is certain, we’ll be back."
