"I recently spent a week here with 5 friends and we were very disappointed in our stay
I am not somebody who expects 5* when booking a budget holiday but I do expect a hotel to get basics right to give people a nice holiday
1st and biggest complaint was the food, I am not a fussy eater but I was struggling to put together a nice meal, the food at lunch and dinner was very similar, we received Liver 4 times in 3 days, the food was always cold, very slow in replacing the food and they would run out of the better option very early, on an evening if you went any time after 8 o clock you may not get any choice at all despite them serving till 9.30
Breakfast also very poor selection except for eggs where you could have scrambled egg, scrambled with ham, Spanish omelette, omelette, fried eggs, boiled eggs and kidney beans every day but only on 2 occasions could we have a croissant
The snacks don’t even count as snacks, a few bread rolls sliced in to halves, put out at 12 and still sitting there at 5pm
No food was ever labelled so people with allergy’s need to be very careful as you don’t know what your eating
The drinks were ok however we were stopped getting 6 drinks in 1 go and we had to have 3 people go to the bar each time to order 2 each, this just created even bigger ques and there was only ever 1 person serving so expect a long wait at times
The rooms were a decent size, 2 single beds and a bunk bed in our room however the cleaning was very inconsistent and the basics were not replaced every day, the shower was very small and completely misses your body so you need to take it off the wall and do it by hand and was rarely even warm, no chance of it being a hot shower
Pool area very small, sun beds don’t get put out till about 7.30 and if you want a decent 1 you need to be there waiting for them to put the beds out, after 8 o clock you have to settle for a bed which only has sun in the morning, anything after 8.30 you won’t get a bed. Only a block of about 10 beds get the sun till late afternoon, we have gone very early in the season so I would hate to imagine how bad it gets in Peak season
Entertainment, the new entertainment manger puts in the effort and you could see she was trying to improve the hotel, yet again though being on her own with no help restricts what she was able to do, the day was music on speakers round the pool and evening was normally live music
The beach in front of the hotel very small and only sun in the morning and very early afternoon, water very clear though and great for snorkelling
Location awful, 30/40 minute walk in to Benitses on poor roads with no pavements and lots of bends, your safer to catch the bus which is €2.20 no matter how far you are going
I wouldn’t recommend a stay here especially if you have children with you, I spoke to a lot of people during the week and literally every 1 of them had a complaint about the place with the food being the main issue and most deciding to catch the bus in to the local town and have food out instead"
