"We arrived at the hotel as a large family. There are no words to describe how much the hotel staff, especially the reception, helped us with every request, changed rooms for us, were always there with a special smile. "We went with our son and his family, mainly for the water park which did not disappoint! Loads of rides and rarely much of a queue. There was loads of sun beds in the water park too. They had some really good photos taken here too which were not that expensive. The wave pool in the resort was also really good and there was always rings free to go on. I wish it was open later though. The waves stopped at 5 and the pool closed at 6. The other pool was open until 7 and was always really crowded later on so it was a shame both did not stay open until 7 as it was a nice quiet area to swim until then. Daytime entertainment wasn’t great - water polo was very popular but guests were mainly left to it. There was family games at noon but never very well attended- I think if they had done some sort of games in the pool they would have been very popular. Nightmare entertainment wasn’t great. The room upstairs was hot and nothing for adults/older children until 9.30 and then not brilliant. Rooms were clean - beds good - showers good. As a couple we were fine but as a family it would be difficult as there is so little storage. It’s a pity there is not more draws/ shelves in the portioned room as there was beds only in there. The air con in the room was amazing though which was a godsend as it was so hot when we went! The restaurant could get very crowded - people were not allotted tables - when it was busy people wandered around trying to find a table. Often it still had dishes on which were then not cleared. Surely seating people as tables became available would be better? The hotel staff were all lovely especially the bar staff who really made an effort and seemed to work long days. We were unable to get a late checkout and as we had quite a late flight that made it difficult. There is a room down by the gym for leaving bags/ suitcases but it is not manned or secure. Anyone can come in here. I asked reception if we could leave hand luggage somewhere secure and we were told the baggage room was secure which it clearly wasn’t! There are two showers in this area. I think this is the worst setup I have seen! The shower door did not close and the floor of the changing area was flooded. Men and women were getting changed in the baggage area! The shower I used was not working properly. The door did not lock and the shower only worked as a tap with a slow trickle of water! I think this area could be improved a lot and lockers here would be much better. Overall a good holiday but there are a number of things that could easily be improved to make it a better experience for future guests."

"Just got back after a family stay - us and our 2 children aged 4 and 6 years old. The hotel included the aqua land park tickets which is great as the water park was fantastic and we spent so much time over there. The hotel - it’s nice, clean, well lit at night, has 3 pools - a large one and a baby pool, a wave pool which is amazing , a very small playground for the children and a kids club. Kids club - run by TUI and they do 2 sessions per day - we did not use this much but the 2 mornings we did, the staff were lovely and looked after the children very well. Food - was great they had a kids buffet separately which helped but personally the food was not great, considering gyro is the main cuisine of Greece it was not on the menu much and we had to go out to taste the real Greek food. The staff in the restaurant were very lovely though and would always go out of their way as needed. For those who do consume alcohol- beer and wine on tap only there is no table service like other hotels. Bar - usual drinks, very sweet and little alcohol but also for slush puppies etc it’s cash only Mini market - Great this is next door so you can top up on food and water supplies (reasonable prices) - they take card for payments Arcade games - Waste of money. This seems to be run by a guy who attends in the evening and the machines / games are cash only. Not the most pleasant guy he just sits, smokes and tries to explain how the games work as he speaks minimal English. Quite an odd set up and unsure why but we only went once as we had no cash. Gym - Looks like it’s never been used, very run down, a few machines but I would not use it Massage parlour - The same room / area as the gym, very run down and not very welcoming at all (such a shame as if someone cleaned the area up and made it more welcoming it could be used a lot) Snack bar - was good, limited food choice but seemed ok Be warned this time of the year due to extreme heat there are wasps / bees everywhere so all over the food. It was impossible to sit on the sun loungers for long as they were everywhere Rooms - Personally room set up I found odd. Firstly our apartment was on the first floor - flight of stairs / no lift and no help from the staff so be warned you are carrying all your luggage up and down these stairs and there are a lot of steps. The rooms they say apartments but ours just had beds, no sitting area, no small dining area, an upstairs but the stairs again are steep so the children were nervous and avoided them. Difficult to eat in the room so we brought the balcony furniture in to help with the kids meals. Otherwise it’s a standard room with housekeeping. Staff - reception staff not very welcoming when we arrived. It’s nearly 40 degrees and not even a glass of water or bottle was offered. Not smiling, not helpful with any questions asked, told me our room had technical issues so we have been given another one and I had to move again tomorrow - when I said that is hard with 2 young children asked to speak with management very difficult and continued to say he did not where the manager was ( I did not move the next day ). Each time we approached the reception for any questions just so monotone - no buses go from the hotel to the town or beach as they say on their website. Just felt the reception team could have been more approachable. All the other staff were lovely and very kind. Overall the stay was nice and the park next door and the wave pool made it even better. I would recommend the hotel but would advise to consider a ground floor room and take wasp repellant spray as it was relentless some days!"
