Hotel Gabriel Paris

"The hotel was ran down and tired. The fire extinguisher was laying on the floor the full visit (was there Fri-Sun) We booked the smaller of the rooms due to the flying visit but if you were any bigger than a UK size 10 you are not fitting into the toilet in an old cupboard. The shower door was also made of glass looking right into the room… privacy is not top of the list. The door was also left open after the cleaner had been in to make the bed which I wasn’t best pleased about. It’s no way a 4star hotel. If you do decide to stay set your expectations a little lower than average. Location was fine easy walk to the metro station and to get around the city."

"The place absolutely does not correspond to the photos, and even less to a 4-star hotel. There is dirty and dusty carpet everywhere. Honestly, it is by far the worst place I have stayed. There is mold in the bathroom and a dusty smell everywhere. Dust is present in every corner. Furthermore, there was a demonstration nearby that escalated and became violent. I therefore did not feel safe. The place is absolutely not as bright as in the photos and the atmosphere is really creepy. An extremely disappointing experience, which in no way corresponds to what one can expect from a 4-star hotel."

"Absolutely terrible hotel. I’ve got the smallest room on the floor (304), which they claim to be a Superior category, even though the picture of the Classic room looks identical on the website. To add insult to injury, “the cleaning” after the first night included only change of towels. There was an obvious coffee stain on the duvet cover, however, why bother changing it at €300 a night?! When I spoke to the reception I was told they don’t change bed linen for stays more than one night and was given a duvet cover to change it myself. Breakfast is very basic and includes terrible looking sausages and scrambled eggs from concentrate. For any requests to change the room, the only answer is that no other rooms are available and they are fully booked. Absolutely never again for me and I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy!"
