Holiday Inn Express Paris Canal de la Villette

"This is a very nice hotel. Staff are firendly and speak fluent English. The rooms are comfortable. The shower is very spacious. Plenty towels and the bath towels are a decent size. All things that make a difference to me! The beds are comfortable. I did find them vert warm and I think it was down to a kind of plastic coating on the underside of the sheet, but that was a very minor issue in an otherwise lovely room. My only other gripe is there is a single socket for 2 beds near the beds, so we had to swap charging phones overnight. There are sockets in other places in the room. Breakfast was good. Lots of options and everything good. My friend didn't like the coffee and there weren't options such as a latte. I thought it was fine. They will store your luggage on the last day. Getting it back when we wanted to leave was a bit slow - there was a very slow check-in going on and didn't seem to be anyone else around. If you arrive late there are lots of options to eat very close by. We actually came back to the hotel each night and then went back out for dinner."

"Stayed at Holiday Inn Paris – Canal de la Villette and had a very pleasant experience. The location is excellent – close to several metro stations for easy city access, and also near many restaurants, including an Indian restaurant called Mountain. The staff were polite and very cooperative. They kindly allowed me early check-in as well as a late checkout, which made my trip much more comfortable. The hotel ambiance is modern and welcoming, with well-kept rooms and comfortable beds. Overall, a wonderful stay – highly recommended for both business and leisure travelers visiting Paris."

"The hotel overall is a above average hotel for the money. There are two reasons to stay at the hotel 1. Going to an event nearby 2. Affordable place to stay near Metro and RER stations The hotel overall feels refurbished and clean and well maintained. The staff was great and helpful. The breakfast had many options but overall great quality food..but a good selection The neighborhood outside the door is a working blue collar area and Metro a short walk with restaurants nearby. The area going to the RER is a bit more sketchy and walk past public housing/Projects at night...keep to the Metro and on the 7 line I would go back if going to a nearby event or needed a more affordable hotel stay in Paris...not for luxury"
