"Me and my partner have just come back from a week stay at this hotel and wow we were not disappointed.
ROOM
We had a king superior room and it was stunning especially the view we had from our room, I’ve never seen a view quite as stunning.
The only issue we had with our room was that our plug in the sink was broke but with one phone call down to the lobby we had this fixed within the hour. Other than that the room was perfect, very spacious, really comfy bed, cleaned to perfection
Also massive shoutout to the male cleaner who works on the 7th floor. He never failed to ask how our day was, if we needed anything sorting in our room, always gave the most biggest smile. He really was so lovely and down to earth. It was always a pleasure seeing him down the hallway.
FOOD
When it comes to all Inclusive food it can be hit and miss and in all honestly the food was great. There was always something there for you to eat whether you wanted something hot, cold, traditional etc. there is a pasta bar, a pizza bar, salads, puddings, sauces, spices etc.
the food was always hot too. There was never really a time we experienced a plate of cold food.
With us staying for 7 nights we were able to experience a set menu from one of the Al carte restaurants to which we picked the Asian and wow the food was absolutely unreal, it was amazing. It was just a shame we couldn’t visit and try the other two restaurants without paying as well.
DRINKS.
Cocktails are amazing, some are very strong I must say ahahaha. Especially the cosmopolitan. If you want a cocktail making up please ask the worker because they will try and make you anything you would like. For example the traditional cocktail sex on the beach wasn’t on the drinks menu however the staff always made us it when we asked. There is also a wide range of fizzy drinks, iced / hot coffee and by the main pool bar they make slushies which are absolutely amazing, so so delicious.
The alcohol is house but I do believe you can pay if you want “premium brands”
POOL.
When we stayed at this hotel we mainly stayed where the main pool is due to there being entertainment, music, a busy environment etc. we would usually come down to the pool about 8am where there would still be a handful of sunbeds left to take however don’t worry if there isn’t any as the lifeguards will get you one if you ask. The lifeguards are so so helpful and polite so please don’t be afraid to ask them.
There is also an adults only pool, which we didn’t go to, however we noticed it was a very quiet area so if you want to relax this pool really is perfect for thatt.
BEACH
A walk on the beach is stunning and is only a couple of steps away from the hotel. Even if you don’t go down to sunbathe please go down there for a walk you really won’t regret it.
LOCATION.
When I booked the hotel I didn’t realise we were smack bang in the middle of the city centre to which wasn’t a problem for us when we realised upon arrival. The hotel is surrounded by traditional shops, food places and there is even the city centre mall next door which have some amazing places to visit. There’s a supermarket on the bottom floor which we loved as we loved buying and trying Egyptian snacks. All the workers in the mall were also so polite too and never failed to help you.
If you are going on any trips out the hotel which require scarves. There is a shop on the bottom floor of this hotel who sell the scarves for a cheaper prices than the trip. We got two scarves for £5 and they are amazing quality.
PROBLEMS
1. The only issue we had with this hotel was that you never stopped getting bothered when you were sunbathing by the main pool. Every second of the day there was always someone coming up to you trying to sell you either a beauty treatment, a photoshoot, trips etc and it got to the point where we just got sick of it. I understand they need to work and earn a living but it gets the point where they became really rude with us due to us politely declining there services. I wish the hotel had like a red flag / green flag system where other hotels have to say whether you want to be disturbed or not because at least the workers will be able to go to the people who want there services and get the money they need.
2. Do not get in an orange or blue taxi because they will rip you off. We asked the hotel lobby workers how much a taxi would be to get from the hotel to the marina and back to which they said 400 Egyptian dollars. However this was not the case. The driver demanded 1700 Egyptian dollars from us and refused to unlock the car doors until we paid him despite him also stating it would be 400 Egyptian dollars when we left the hotel. We wished we had used Uber or Indrive because at least we would have felt safer and not being ripped off after a price was discussed at the start. Obviously this is not a hotel fault but it’s just an insight for those who want to leave the hotel.
OVERALL
We cannot fault this hotel at all.
It was 110%. The view, the food, the atmosphere, the weather. Honestly amazing. I hope one day we return and if we don’t. We will definitely be recommending the hotel to family and friends."
