"A hotel with a human and almost family-like scale, one might think. Attentive staff, impeccable service from the front desk to the room and down to the beach. Daytime entertainment well led by Ms. Emy, sufficient entertainment for the clientele present. Evening entertainment with a violinist and saxophonist accompanying us during our evening meal. "I'll explain the title first, you approach the hotel via a rough one track road from a less then salubrious main street, turning the corner there it is. At this point, together with the lack of information I was very anxious. Nice enough small reception but not air conditioned. Small is the theme here, everything is scaled down compared to most of the other sprawling 5 star hotels. The one main issue to consider is there are a lot of steps and ramps so people with mobility issues might have a problem. Taken to my room by a really nice member of staff who is the golf-cart expert. The room was an average example, could have been anywhere. After 1.5 days I was still not sure of this hotel, being scaled-down certain things were missing. There was little to no entertainment only a singer or violinist now and again, the entertainment team consisted of one man and his female assistant who did his best with aqua robics, funny guy. Pool was average size for the hotel. The main buffet restaurant served an good range of food but decent quality for the size of the hotel. There was a fish restaurant which was better to be booked, it was in a very scenic position at the end of a jetty, nice food, small charge. NOTE TO MANAGEMENT The "International" restaurant is a waste of time and space. It is upstairs above the main restaurant, it is very hot and has no air conditioning, the menu is incredibly small and as most people don't visit it it had no atmosphere, turn it into a bar which the resort needs after dinner as there is very little to do. No problem with getting sunbeds, towel man very good, and the man that brings drinks round very good also. Beach is a nice area but sea floor is very stoney so bring beach shoes. After the first day I realised the advantages of this hotel, it is a total chill out hotel with only background music, it's total relaxation. And the one thing that sticks in my mind, is the staff, every one is so helpful, friendly and efficient and because of them and the relaxing vibe of the whole hotel YES I have booked again for a return next year, thank you."
