Dalmahoy Hotel and Country Club

"Place is adorable. Rooms are large and clean. Not to noisy . Restaurants are good and fairly priced. Grounds are really pretty, staff is very nice."

"The Dalmahoy hotel is a wonderful hotel for golf, with a championship golf corse , driving range, golf lessons available if you want them , shop and lovely helpful staff in the golf shop. The Hotel is lovely, with a mixture of world classic meets new and modern. We found the bed hard and cause my partner to have a broken sleep and a bad back. We reported this to the staff, but as they were fully booked, they couldn't move us to another room. The staff did put duvets on the mattress for us and a mattress topper, but the bed was still uncomfortable. The leisure facilities were very good, but they didn't have a Jacuzzi! The steam room and the sauna or lovely. But...... be warned!!!!!!! I had a paranormal experience that cannot be explained! As you walk through the entrance of the Dalmahoy hotel to your right, you have the reception area. Just passed reception in front of you. You have two double doors that lead to the cocktail bar .on the left-hand side ,there are a small set of stairs that go down, only about five and then you turn directly to your left and the ladies toilet is there. Open up the door , turn right and you have to go 4 small steps ,right in front of you about 6 foot away is a vanity unit with a well lit mirror ,(if you turn to your left that's where the toilets and the washing basins are!) I used the facilities, left the bathroom opened up the door to leave and saw on the vanity unit in front of me a box of tissues and I debated picking one out of the box to keep in case I needed to blow my nose, when all the sudden ,unexpectedly ,the two wooden panels underneath the vanity unit (as I was looking at it on the right hand side) moved 2 cm to the left then moved back by itself!!! then the left-hand side unit did the same thing !!!then they both moved together and moved apart. ( I would like to point out I had not had an alcoholic drink. I was sober. The only thing I had had to drink was a classic Coca-Cola )Now , I'm no Olympic sprinter but I run out of that door faster than Usain Bolt could've done. I went straight to reception with the two nice , kind, understanding reception people 1 male, 1 female just looked at me in shock and they asked if I was alright. I told them what had happened. The young lady on reception came into the ladies toilet with me and checked the vanity units ,when she touched the two wooden front panels underneath the vanity unit ,she could move them left and right about 2 cm. There is no rhyme no reason as to why those vanity units moved by their selves. I had not had a drink in me. I had only drunk soft drinks and I would not go back in there again. I told my partner and he was allowed in there to check and he found the same thing that the two panels underneath do move slightly. There is no rhyme or reason as to why they would move by their selves but they did. So if you go in there by yourself, the ladies toilet on the ground floor by the cocktail bar, you may have company!!! Apart from that, I had a wonderful time playing three rounds of golf two on the championship course, I recommend taking extra balls with you because you do lose them in the rough. Parts of the ground are very wet and soggy so make sure you have waterproof golf shoes on. The staff on the heart of the starter of the tea and the staff in the Golf! pro shop are extremely nice. And I really recommend staying and playing golf at this hotel. The grounds are absolutely beautiful."

"We enjoyed our stay at this Hotel & Country Club. The facilities were good, we enjoyed the gym, the pitch and putt and our game of tennis, the courts need resurfacing but the hotel has plans for this in the future. We did not use the pool in the end as we ran out of time but it looked good and spacious. Most amenities are included in the price. Our room was a deluxe double family room with two double beds. The beds were comfy and the room was spotlessly clean and spacious. The fridge was an added bonus. Staff were generally friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and we ate in the brasserie and the cocktail bar. We would stay here again."
