A quiet Bodrum escape
Set along the picturesque shores of Gumbet in southwest Turkey, the Riva Bodrum Resort is a Turkish delight. This resort is perched on a hillside between the bays of Gumbet and Bitez, a 15-minute walk from the nearest beach. With its stunning location and panoramic views of the Aegean Sea, this whitewashed resort offers a haven of relaxation and indulgence.
For those looking to get out and explore the surroundings, Gumbet’s town centre is just a 10-minute taxi-ride away, offering an array of local shops, restaurants, and nightlife options. Additionally, you can visit nearby attractions, such as Bodrum Castle, Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, and the lively Bodrum Marina.
You won’t want to be inside for long, however – there’s sun-soaking and reclining to be done. There are three outside swimming pools, one of which has views overlooking the bay, a basketball court and pool tables. There’s also a fitness centre, and a rejuvenating spa offering a variety of treatments so you can really start to relax. Culinary delights await at the resort’s restaurant, which serves Turkish and international cuisine, and the bar and café offers a chilled-out atmosphere for a refreshing drink or two.
Please note, this hotel has a lot of stairs between its different areas and may not be suitable for those with reduced mobility. Just so you know, if you book a Club Room and are placed on the ground floor you will receive a terrace, but if you're placed upstairs it will be a Juliet balcony. The Standard Club room is 15 square metres.
