"We stayed at Asteria Bloom Side for 10 days, and unfortunately, it turned out to be a huge mistake.
From the moment we arrived, we realised this place was nothing like what was advertised. The hotel is surrounded by dirt roads, empty fields, and construction sites — there’s absolutely nothing around except a tiny bazaar and a pharmacy about five minutes away. No shops, no restaurants, no life.
Check-in and reception
When we arrived around midnight, there was no porter to help with our luggage, even though my mother is elderly. The receptionist didn’t speak any English , only Turkish, and tried to communicate through Google Translate. Despite our booking clearly stated we booked a double or a twin room, he tried to give us a double and then asked for an extra €50 to change it for a twin one. So we get scammed and stupidly paid.Than after taking payment no one showed us a room so we get to find our way and the room we got was terrible — no windows in second room, extremely small, and the bathroom was so tiny you could barely move or close the door. The view was just on garbage and construction debris.
The next morning , after complain from our side we were moved to another room with a view of the pool and the sea. Although it was much better, but no one ever refunded the €50 we paid.
In addition, it is completely unprofessional that the reception staff who greeted us did not speak English at all. Most tourists do not speak Turkish, so basic communication becomes impossible.
Facilities and entertainment
Hotel is very dated, elevators took about ten minutes each time to get in. The floors in the halls on the 3rd floor were disgustingly dirty with carpets full of spots and stains that made it unclear what they were. Spa facilities were great, however cold water in jacuzzi was awful.
There was no entertainment at evenings for the entire 10 days, except one night with belly dancers and another one with the female singer. The only person who really tried to create an atmosphere was the DJ, who played good music every night which was suitable for all ages.
Food and hygiene
The food was repetitive, not nicely decorated ,which weren’t expected from the 4 stars hotel. One day I even got food poisoning and couldn’t leave the room. Thankfully, I had my own medication to solve it.Room cleaning was very poor — no wet cleaning, no bed linen change, and no replacement of toiletries. We had to buy our own shower gel because no one restocked it.
Location and transport
The location is isolated. To get to the nearest city, you either have to walk 20 minutes to the bus stop or take a €20 taxi each way. For elderly people or families, this is very inconvenient.
Overall
The only positive thing I can mention is the sea — it’s nice and clean, about 5–7 minutes walk on foot. Also,I want to mention waitresses ,which I believe were from Kazakhstan. They were all polite and hardworking.Again, the beach and lobby bar staff served us very timely. But everything else, especially location — was an absolute disappointment.
I do not recommend this hotel to anyone and will never return."
