"I stayed solo in April and actually really liked it: clean, efficient staff, good location. I’m a 40-year-old man; I came to work on my PhD dissertation and go for walks — no parties etc. After I left, I even received a survey asking if I planned to return — I said yes. That’s why I was shocked and disappointed to find, when trying to book again, that the hotel has blocked stays for solo male travelers. In my view, this is straightforward discrimination — gender and travel style should not be grounds for refusing accommodation in a civilized country or in modern hospitality. It’s a shame, because the place has potential, but until this policy is changed and clearly explained, I can’t recommend this hotel. One star."
