"Just back from a wonderful 10 night stay at the Playa Del Moro.and was the best hotel I have stayed in so far in Mallorca. Although the weather was a little cloudier than last year it meant it was a bit cooler and therefore ideal for walking around in. From the moment I arrived the Hotel staff were exceptional in making me feel welcome. As soon as I was dropped off a member of staff was even on hand to help me with my luggage. My room although different from the one I had booked on the TUI website had a lovely view of the sea and the beach from its quite spacious balcony. I particularly liked the glass panels on the balcony as you could enjoy the same view when you were sitting down as you could standing up. The room also had a sofa and table which I wasn’t expecting, though ideally I would have preferred one on a higher floor. All in all the room was very comfortable and the shower was brilliant although it did not attract as much light due to the smaller balcony door and its proximity on the corner of the building. The location of the hotel is great as it was only a very short walk over the pool bridge to the promenade and the beach. For the more adventurous it is also very handy for the bus stop on Bon Temps. The 424 takes you from Cala Millor to Porto Chrsto, Capdepera and Cala Rajada. I would recommend the Castle at Capdepera, entry is only 3 euros offers fantastic views and the town itself has been less impacted. by tourism than other places. A good alternative are the boat trips that take you up and down the coast. The other Castle I would recommend is the Castell de la Punta de n’Amer. it’s a nice walk along the beach up to the Castle and offers lovely views of Cala Millor, Sa Coma and S’iliot. There is also a nice wee restaurant too so would recommend scheduling a visit around lunchtime. There is also a decent cycle track too if you want to bike it up there. The food at the hotel was excellent with the choices at breakfast to suit every taste. I also liked that every night the cuisine had a different theme which avoided the food being very samey which is a common fault at other hotels. The sweets were also too good to resist and has probably set back my efforts to lose weight by a month or so. I had already booked a different hotel in Cala Millor for next year however after going to see the other one I have changed my booking so will be returning to this fantastic hotel in October 2026. The only issues I had with my holiday this year were to do with my carrier (TUI) so have returned to Jet2 for hopefully a better travel experience next year."
