Viva Cala Mesquida Resort & Spa

"We have just returned for a week at viva cala mesquida resort and we had a wonderful time. The staff are all so welcoming and try to help with any request. During our stay we unfortunately had a recurrent issue with our jacuzzi and despite repeated attempts at fixing it we only got to use it a few times. However the staff were great at attending to the issue but in particular customer services stepped up. In particular Layla from guest services went above and beyond with every request to make our stay as memorable as possible. She not only personally followed up on the jacuzzi issue but also helped with our dietry requirements in the restaurant. She made sure we had a wider choice available thanks to laising with Mustafa from the restaurant. They provided us with numerous options for eggless dishes. If this wasn't enough Layla also upgraded our stay due to our constant hot tub issue and also was so kind to arrange a special birthday meal and celebration for our little boy. She arranged a special meal for him and personally saw that he had an eggless dessert for his special day and if that wasn't enough she gifted him some birthday goodies. She really was a huge help and made our holiday amazing as prior to this we were finding the meals in the restaurant were hit and miss for us due to limited choices and the constant issue with the hot tub did become a nuisance but once she came in charge Layla ensured every request was fulfilled and nothing was too much for her. I can't commend her enough and encourage anyone needing any assistance to reach out to Layla at the resort. She stands for everything customer satisfaction should be and speaks English fluently so a big help. I would urge anyone looking to book the resort to ensure they are able to have meals at the sports bar as the vegan choices were great but the food prepared for us was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed having a feast of delicious flavours at every meal and all meals were cooked to perfection so don't miss out on the sports bar meals! We would happily eat there if we could for every meal. The animation team were also amazing at including all children in activities and really did go out to keep the children entertained. They provided activities throughout the day and the mini disco and treasure hunt was the hilight for the children. They were so friendly and made my sons birthday extra special by giving him a shout out on stage. The shows were also unique and enjoyable and by 10pm closed so good time to finish off the day. Most pools are unheated so beware when visiting in cold weather. However the indoor pool was nice and warm. Beach was easily accessible. Nothing else really nearby so a good place to sit and relax for the week. Would definitely look at viva hotels in the future."

"Have just returned from viva Cala Mesquida ,it’s a beautiful location we had a garden with jacuzzi overlooking the sea it was well worth the extra money .The room was a 1 bedroomed very clean with cleaner every day & very quiet .My granddaughter absolutely loved the animation team they kept children going with foam party ,evening mini disco .games & much more ,plenty for children around the hotel .It also has indoor heated pool and a couple heated outside .Its worth upgrading to all inclusive as not much around outside to go .to not to expensive on arrival to do .My only issue was we got at the hotel early and had to wait until 3pm to obtain the room .With the weather being very rainy & a tired little girl it was too long .Iv been abroad many times & at differant times and always had room ready on arrival.But other than that excellent Hotel Staff ect .I would highly recommend."

"Avoid the full board option...Not value for money. Food in restaurant was served cold and of sub standard quality. No choice of beers. Long queues at buffet for hot food during breakfast and dinner. Un polite staff."
