"Return visit to this marvellous hotel,all staff make you feel at home , restaurant food to die for ,bar staff very good, front desk always polite and happy to help,room cleaned immaculately, had a problem with safe and was sorted immediately, as my wife said she feels at home when here, will definitely return."

"A Solo Black Female Traveler’s Take I stayed at Iberostar Selection Lanzarote recently, and the resort itself is amazing! Beautiful views, great food, and lovely facilities — I’d definitely return. That said, as a solo traveler, I did feel a bit invisible at times. The spa staff would chat with other guests but never with me. The entertainment team invited people to join pool games but never approached me — except on my last day when a lovely guy named Benjamin asked if I wanted to play bingo (which honestly made my day!). Even at breakfast, staff offered coffee to other tables but didn’t come to me until the day before I left. These are small things, but they really make a difference in making solo guests feel seen and welcome. The reception team deserves a huge shoutout though — they were wonderful! Moises (I think that’s how you spell it) was full of smiles and even wished me a happy birthday 🥹 The hotel also sent a complimentary bottle of cava to my room, which was such a kind gesture — though they added two glasses 😅 Small detail, but if you know I’m traveling solo, one glass would’ve been the perfect touch. Overall, the resort is stunning, and I’ll definitely be back — hopefully next time, with a few more smiles and a little more inclusion 😉"

"Pros - Great location. - Lunch and dinner great. - Room cleaned and mini bar restocked daily. - Pools and water slides were great. - Staff all over the resort were outstanding. Cons - Air con terrible. Would not like to stay in the height of summer! We woke every single night because we were so hot. Reported a couple of times and assured it was checked by engineers. I note other visitors have reported the same issue and I heard many people at reception during our stay with the same issue. It would put us off staying again. - Breakfast not the best we've had compared to other 5 star hotels. Missed having a la carte options! - Sofa bed for 4 year old was rock hard! He didn't find it comfortable at all. Overall, this is a great hotel in a lovely location - 2 minute walk to Flamingo beach and shops, bars and restaurants walking distance in both directions. 20 mins to central playa blanca on the coastal path and a further 20 minutes to Marina Rubicon. We have previously stayed at Sandos Papagayo (the total other end) and preferred this location by miles. If they sorted the air con we would absolutely stay again."
