"Food (5 stars) Overall I was very impressed by the staffs' attention and care when it came to gluten free. Each day at breakfast I was provided with gluten free bread (fresh from the oven in a little sealed baking bag) and a selection of gluten free pastries (also individually bagged from a bakery down the road). I had doughnuts, cookies, pain au chocolat; as well as food from the rest of the buffet too. All I had to do was ask the staff member for gluten free bread and pastries when I came down for breakfast. I also enjoyed the cooked breakfast and some of the cold continental too. It was probably the most I have ever eaten at a holiday buffet as a coeliac. Equally for lunch we ate twice on the rooftop bar - any of the sandwiches can be made gf, they even cooked the chips in a separate fryer for me - and communicated that to me as well (which is quite technical in a second language!). Very impressed by the care and attention of the staff here especially regarding gluten free. We did not eat for dinner here so I cannot comment on that - but I think the whole menu is gluten free. Rooms (4 stars) Rooms very clean, cleaned thoroughly every day - floors mopped. Towels are replaced everyday if you want them to be. My only issue was that the shampoo was never refilled, despite asking, and therefore I washed my hair with shower gel twice. Bit dated/basic for price but absolutely spotless. Facilities (5 stars) Rooftop pool - gorgeous views across Malaga, yes space is limited but if you get to the pool early you will get a spot. It was usually full from 12pm-4pm most days, there are only around 20 loungers as it is a small area. The pool is very small - like a plunge pool and very cold! But works as a refreshing dip when you get too hot in the sun. Weather was gorgeous for us - 25 degrees and we got two loungers both days we visited the pool - went at around 12pm. Gym - small gym on 5th floor, some good equipment, very sweaty in there due to sunshine! Staff (5 stars) Staff were amazing, let my husband practice his Spanish with them, never waiting for anything. Coming round asking for drinks orders at rooftop bar immediately. Reception staff lovely. Left our bags in the left luggage room on final day and first day. Location (5 stars) 15 min walk from Central Malaga Train station (C-1) 10-15 min walk from centre of town 20 min walk from harbour No 2 bus stops across road (route to Botanical Gardens) Tips: Pool towels can be collected and returned at reception Get your sunbed early if you want a day at the pool Always ask about gluten free if you need it! At the airport - get the C-1 train, you can use your credit/debit card to get through the barrier (like on the tube) and it charges you afterwards for the ticket - saves you waiting in a long line for the 3 machines with the munchers!"

"I have stayed here before and whilst it wasn’t perfect, I liked it enough to return. It was a disappointment this time. Pros: Very close to centre but in a more peaceful location. Rooftop bar is good value and has great views. Food on rooftop bar very good quality. VIP area is good to have as an option. Good sized bed - we like a super king bed and the bed (presumably twin beds pushed together) was comfortable. AC was individually controlled and effective. USB slots so no need for adapters if you come from outside Spain. The quality of the shower pressure was very good. Cons: The room was an odd shape with a column jutting out of the wall at the end of the bed which made it impossible to move across the room without turning flat against the wall. The bedside ‘tables’ were affixed to the wall and far from the bed. Not major but still a bit inconvenient. The cleaning of the room was poor - our cups were not cleaned the entire time. There was significant maintenance ongoing without any explanation. Large dehumidifiers were in the corridor outside our room and panels out of the ceilings. There was also plaster on the floors. I was disappointed by the experience and would be reluctant to return."

"We booked this hotel following a recommendation, so glad we did. Friendly staff, fantastic location, super clean and not too busy even when fully booked. Staff assisted prior to our arrival with booking gifts and were quick to respond to any questions.. Roof top bar is great to sit, relax and take in the views of the beautiful city.. well worth booking and we will be back again... thanks to all the staff 👌.."
