"simple check in from friendly staff,lifts to all floors,my room was light and of a good size with great views of the city,comfy double bed,mini fridge,tea/coffee facilities and a very tidy bathroom. downstairs had a good seating area and bar and at breakfast there was a good choice even if i didn't manage to eat anything that morning. armanda probably won't remember me but from my heart,i offer you a big big thanks for helping me out when i needed it the most."

"I stayed here during a business trip and all I wanted was to stay at a hotel that is close to the office, so I was not expecting much! Upon arrival, I was not impressed but I have to confess that the hotel kind of grew on me. The rooms were very basic, sufficiently large and quite clean. The comfort of the bed was great, and the sleep quality was amazing (no noise at all in these rear-facing rooms but mind you that I was in room 202 and I believe there are no adjacent rooms there). One thing I did not appreciate was that when I was getting into bed I noticed the bedsheets were a bit wrinkled so there is a chance that they were not changed between guests and I hope that is not the case. Breakfast was simple and with sufficient variety. One of the things I loved about the hotel is that the whole staff were local and middle-aged people that were very friendly (Kudos to the management for not resorting to cheap imported labour!!!) Why am I rating this 4* instead of 5*? Well, most of the hotel is a bit dated and needs some serious remodelling. In addition, I reserved my room for 110€ (1-person), including breakfast, while my colleague reserved his room one day later and had to pay 145€ and for that price, there are other good alternatives in the vicinity. Overall, I was not expecting much and wond up enjoyng my stay."

"Wonderful hotel situated in a vibrant yet not too loud street with a local feel in its interior. Accurate, well kept and thought through! Great breakfast as well! But the highlight of my stay was a lovely lady Angelica! She was so kind showing me different available room options to choose from (my original room was just fine, I was just looking for a more colourful decor). She was very polite and understanding! I wish more people in the industry were like her, as I’ve had some unpleasant experiences during my stay in Porto. But wonderful Angelica absolutely restored my belief in great Portuguese people! Thanks a lot! Absolutely recommend the hotel!"
