Muthu Raga Madeira Hotel

"Stayed at Raga in September 2025, comfortable hotel, staff very helpful, towel change each day, sheets 3/4 days, substantial breakfast in hotel and nice restaurants nearby, good bus service to Funchal. I would recommend hotel Raga for a stay in Madeira"

"The only positive thing about this hotel is the young lady working in the breakfast restaurant, she carried everything on her shoulders, always positive, communicative, and friendly. Everything else is a disaster. This hotel is definitely not a 4-star property, at best one star. During my 7-night stay, the towels were never changed, and most likely the bed linen was not changed either. The room is very outdated: some lights didn’t work, there was mold in the bathroom, the shower head was in terrible condition, the mirror was stained, and the sink drain was rusty. The fridge was rusty with peeling paint. There wasn’t even a soap dish in the bathroom, and instead of proper shampoo or shower gel, there was only one “3 in 1” product. Soundproofing is non-existent — you can hear absolutely everything from neighboring rooms, making it impossible to sleep comfortably. The whole room looked neglected and poorly maintained. The reception staff were not friendly. Parking is a major issue with very few spaces available. I am attaching photos to prove my words. I absolutely do not recommend staying at this hotel, the price/quality ratio is a complete failure."
