Pestana Churchill Bay

"Lovely hotel in perfect location on bay. We had a superior room on 1st floor which had great views. Room was spacious with good decor. Breakfast taken on top floor outside terrace, breakfast was really good, loads of choice. Delicious fresh fruit, great tea and coffees and juice. This was also the restaurant which opened for lunch and dinner, food very good. Pool area next to it was lovely with loungers overlooking the bay. It was never crowded. Pool towels were provided in the room. The reception and bar area were next door. Bar outdoor seating area was lovely. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Reception booked a couple of trips for us. Taxi from airport was about 20 minutes. Highly recommend, it’s the best spot in camera de Lobos."

"We loved our stay here! The location couldn’t be better – right on the bay in Câmara de Lobos, with beautiful views and just a short walk to plenty of lovely restaurants. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast offered a good selection, and the on-site restaurant was also very good. The pool area was lovely – perfect for relaxing – and we have to mention the Rosé Sangria, which was the best we’ve ever had! The only small downside was the bed: we had two singles pushed together, and the mattress was a bit firm for our taste. A proper double bed or a mattress topper would have made it perfect. We also really enjoyed the walk along the promenade into Funchal – such a nice bonus. Overall, a great stay and we’d definitely return!"
