"Thank you for making our holiday in Madeira such a fantastic time. From the moment we arrived, the welcome we received was very warm and friendly. The room had a balcony with a fantastic sea view and also a terrace some extra space. The room was super clean, comfortable and spacious. The food was exceptional. My partner who is vegetarian was always catered for and my meaty meals were cooked beautifully and very well presented. The chef and Kitchen team are a real asset to the Hotel. The Bar and Hotel facilities especially the gardens and pool were really lovely. It’s a really quiet and peaceful location, watching the Swifts and Goldfinch’s from the balcony whilst looking out over the Atlantic made a great memory. Special thanks to Idilia our waitress who was really friendly and is a real asset to the whole team. Thank you all for making our stay at Quinta Alegre so fantastic."

"Quinta Alegre is absolutely what we were looking for. We based ourselves here for our walking holiday. Reception staff were very welcoming and I instantly felt relaxed upon arrival in this little piece of paradise. Our spacious, sea view room was bright, fresh and very clean. Website photos don’t show the new cream coloured curtains and bedspreads yet which are lovely. As well as having a sea view rooms also overlook the most beautifully kept garden and pool. Side rooms without sea view have lovely views of the garden. Shower had lots of power and there was hot water at all times. At dinner you can opt for the set 3 course menu or choose from the a la carte. Food was outstanding and made freshly everyday with local produce. Jams and preserves all made in hotel’s kitchen. Some vegetables and herbs were from the hotel’s own vegetable garden. The hotel guests are mainly walkers and people who enjoy nature and the outdoors. Exchanging walks and tips with fellow guests was very enjoyable in the evenings. We opted for 2 organised walking tours offered by the hotel. Both guides were friendly, knowledgeable and multilingual and we learned so much about the flora and fauna as well as the island in general. When walking independently Levada Nova is a 45 minute walk uphill from hotel. Lastly the amazing staff make this hotel so special who work hard to ensure all their guests have a wonderful holiday. So well done to everyone, it is very much appreciated. Quinta Alegre surpassed my expectations in every way and we can’t wait to return."
