Hampton By Hilton Krakow

"First of all, the hotel itself is fine. It has a great breakfast and friendly staff. After that, I am not sure if it is a scam or incompetence on the parking. I literally parked under my hotel room window. Upon leaving, I find a $200 pln. ticket on my car. We call the front desk as we saw it flapping under the windshield wiper a few miles down the road. Their attitude, was that of zero care. Their answer was we should have parked in the gated area. WTF?? Shouldn't that be made apparent?? We never even saw a gated area, I guess it is there?? This is a fairly large fine for Poland and my first instinct is someone is getting paid. Either way, it makes damn sure we will not return for a third time to this hotel. We parked in the hotel parking lot, or so we thought. The don't give a damn attitude is the deal breaker. It made sure I am done with this Hilton property and will eye others in Poland with suspicion. There is no way this is the first time this has happened. Scam or incompetence, which is worse? If you don't have a car, I guess they won't scam you some other way? As I said, that is a fair amount of money in Poland. Going to complain to Hilton corporate as well. Sad you have to watch everyone these days. Disappointing in a Hilton branded property. "

"Wry clean and comfortable hotel. The staff are friendly (especially in the restaurant) and food and drinks are reasonable for a city hotel. It’s a little out of the way if you’re using public transport but it otherwise is a great hotel for a trip to Krakow. I had six nights and other than a little inconsiderate behaviour of fellow guests there were no issues. If you want a good view best try to pick your room. I ended up with a view of the internal roof and walls of the “courtyard”. I didn’t mind too much. I slept well and the air conditioning was a life saver in the June heat."

"One of the cleanest hotels we have stayed in . We attend early (9.30am) and did not expect a room to be ready but not only was a room ready, we were upgraded to a lovely big room with separate sofa area . Better than some 4/5 star hotels we normally stay in Helpful friendly staff, comfortable beds and great pillows, breakfast was fresh and plenty choice. Nothing was too much bother. Only downside was it was a bit out of the centre but never charged any more then £4 for a bolt in to market square or wherever we wanted to go. Double tree joined on and 5* restaurant in there. We loved our stay here."
