Convenient crash pad in Rome
Just a stone’s throw from the banks of the River Tiber, B&B Roma Trastevere could be just the spot to base yourself for a flying visit to the Italian capital. And just outside the hotel – less than a minutes’ walk away – is a tram stop that’ll make zipping across the city a breeze.
So what’s first on the agenda? Hop on the metro and you can make your way across the river to the colosseum in less than half an hour. From there you can make your way up to the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps on the northern side of the city.
If you fancy exploring a bit closer to home, the Trastevere neighbourhood has plenty to pique your interest, too. From the impressive Villa Farnesina that sits on the riverbank, with its works of art and pretty garden, to the Piazza Santa Maria, which regularly comes alive at night with street performers and entertainers.
There’s plenty of great eats around these parts. The streets that fan out from Piazza Santa Maria are wall-to-wall restaurants, bars, and cafés, so you’ll have your pick of places. The area around the hotel isn’t short on spots to grab a bite either, so you needn’t wander far if you don’t fancy it.
