Boutique hotel in the heart of Como
Visiting Lake Como and want to make the most of your visit? The Posta Design Hotel has got you covered. It’s set in a former palace in the centre of Como, less than a five-minute stroll from the lake shore and within easy reach of the beautiful Santa Maria Cathedral. It’s also well located if you want to catch the funicular up to Brunate – a hilltop town of Art Nouveau villas and sweeping views over Lake Como.
Inside, the interiors are sleek and minimalist, with the odd pop of colour and quirky lighting fixtures. The marble staircase and balcony railings of the historic palace have been preserved, which is a nice nod to the building’s past. Rooms are decorated in cool, neutral tones and come with Egyptian-cotton clad bed, free wi-fi, and marble bathrooms.
If you fancy eating at the hotel, you’re in luck. The hotel is home to a café-meets-bistro type eatery, which is popular with locals. The kitchen is open all day and you can pick from a menu of everything from sandwiches and cold cuts to pizza and pasta. The coffee and pastries come highly recommended, too.
