"Wow! What an amazing stay in Casa Stavris, a clean and modern hotel of 23 rooms run by a friendly and helpful family - wonderful hosts. So much nicer than a corporate-style all inclusive type affair! The older photos here do not do it justice!
Our room was a reasonable size and spotless. The bed was so comfortable we slept really well and the bathroom and shower were private with a frosted glass door that is not see through. The shower had overhead and hand hold options. We had an outdoor hot tub which was great - the water was lovely and warm but not steamy hot which we appreciated as we could stay in longer on hot days (note it can’t be used during quiet time 3-5pm). Our private outdoor space was enclosed with a table and chairs and sun beds. We didn’t have a kitchenette but had a good sized fridge plus a safe.
Home made breakfast was wonderful and my favourite part of the day - continental, buffet style with some hot options, cereals, cheeses, breads, salad, juice, fruit, coffee, a range of cakes etc. Overseen and prepared by the lovely, friendly female owner we really enjoyed chatting to and who looked after us.
The bar/cafe and pool area was a real highlight. It was a relaxing area with the swimming pool and sun loungers at one end and the outdoor covered seating area at the other. A few snacks were available including lovely home made hot options and pizza.
The hotel is on the main road but this didn’t bother us, we zoned out of any noise and it’s well designed to be an oasis once inside. Bus stops are close and there is a nice taverna a few doors down which gets busy. Easy walk to main Faliraki, took us 5-6 minutes to get to the bridge where loads of bars, restaurants etc are and 18 minutes along the main road to the other end. There was a grocery store 5 minutes away. We preferred Mike’s Bar on the main strip by the bridge for drinks and cocktails in the evening (also with lovely owners) and Gregory’s a great bakery/cafe on the main road. We didn’t bother with the beach (15-20 minutes walk) as we preferred the pool.
We would stay here again when we return to Faliraki."
