Holiday Inn Munich-Unterhaching

"There are so many things that we like about this hotel. It's not the most modern (although they are making improvements — every time we arrive, something new has been done), but here are the things we really like: 1. The staff are lovely and helpful. 2. The "fitness center" is actually a proper club (just across the street!) that the hotel has partnered with. I don't know if this is a long-term arrangement, but I hope so. It's so nice to have a real fitness center to use (especially one that is open for extended hours). 3. The parking is fantastic, with a nice, high ceiling in an underground / lit lot that is directly accessible by elevator. 4. A direct train to the city (a FREQUENT direct train) is just minutes away, making it completely unnecessary to deal with city traffic or to connect many times to get into the city. In all honesty, I think it was quicker to stay in this hotel and take the direct train into the central area than it would have been to stay in one of the city IHG hotels and travel across the city. 5. The hotel is pet-friendly (and only charges a modest fee per night). 6. There is a grocery store (and a pet store!) and a bakery a very short walk away. Should you arrive very late, there's also a McDonald's within walking distance. Overall, this is a super easy place to stay for a trip to Munich. We will absolutely be back!"

"The hotel is in a nice and safe area, and the price was good. It was okay overall, but the bathrooms were dirty and not fresh, with silverfish on the floor. I would have preferred normal flooring instead of carpet, which felt unhygienic. The reception looked fresh, but the rest of the rooms really need an upgrade before I’d come back"

"We much enjoyed staying at Holiday Inn Munich Unterhaching. Room was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped and well-designed. Lots of convenient amenities. Staff was welcoming, responsive, and friendly. Great having the self-service washing machine on site. Nice location, being nearby bakery (IHLE), Lidl and Aldi. The nearby S-bahn station Taufkirchen made it easy to get into Munich (and return) each day. Good value. We highly recommend."
