"Getting to hotel was very simple. The tram runs from outside terminal 1 Nice airport and you get on the number 2 line that drops you 5 minutes walk to the hotel. Situated approximately 250 meters from the promenade this hotel is “exactly what it says on the tin”. There is no glitz or glamour but it provides you with what you need for a comfortable place to stay. The room we stayed in was large with a good sized bathroom after reading a Tripadvisor tip to look for room 406. The bed was comfortable with the linen changed every day. The room was quiet, clean, with tea/coffee facilities and we had a good night’s sleep. Even though it was October we still needed air conditioning which worked a treat. We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel as there was a really nice cafe across the road that served breakfast for €8 ! The hotel is a short walk from the hotel but it’s a half an hour’s walk along the promenade to Nice centre….but it’s a very pleasant walk. I liked this hotel, the staff were very friendly, thank you Graham (not very French I know) the hotel was fine and I had no complaints whatsoever."

"If you want to ruin your vacation, welcome to the “Hotel of Disappointment” – HOTEL LOCARNO NICE I booked a superior double room directly on their website, spoke with an employee, confirmed everything — arrival time, room type, all “in order.” I even received assurance that we would be expected, no matter the hour. Sounds professional, right? Well… only sounds like it. After a long flight, we arrived at 10 PM, paid for the room (in advance, of course — since trust only works one way here) and went upstairs. What did we find? A room the size of a closet, with the bathroom door practically hitting the bed, a moldy smell that makes you want to sleep in the hallway, and an overall old, neglected look, completely different from the “artistic” photos on their website. We went back to the reception immediately, where a young man — totally out of his depth — calmly told us that there was “nothing he could do.” I asked him to call the manager. He did, and — surprise — the manager (Raquel Yassimi) started laughing during the call. Yes, laughing. Apparently, it’s funny for them that two exhausted travelers paid for a room that doesn’t exist. The result? At 11 PM, we were on the street in Nice, with our luggage, no room and our money blocked. And the hotel’s response was, quote: “You can go somewhere else, we’ll refund you.” My question was — what were we supposed to do if we didn’t have money for another hotel? Bravo, Hotel Locarno Nice! You’ve managed to combine disrespect, incompetence, and mockery in a single night. Honest advice: if you value your vacation and your nerves, avoid this place. Not even one star is low enough for this experience. SHAME ON ALL THE STAFF AT THIS HOTEL!"
