"I had a wonderful stay at Mandalena Hotel Apartments. The location is ideal — peaceful yet close to everything. The atmosphere is warm, family-like, and truly feels like home. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, and spotless. Excellent value for money, with 5-star cleanliness and attention to detail. The noise level was zero, offering complete peace and relaxation. Service was outstanding — all staff were friendly and always happy to help. A special thank-you to Maria, the reservations manager, for her professionalism and care. Amenities were great, and any issue was fixed immediately. Highly recommended! 🌸"

"We left our village at 6.30am to fly from Liverpool with EasyJet. 14 hours later we were checking into a lovely, though slightly dated 1 bedroom apartment at the Mandalena Hotel in Protaras. It was the first time we have stayed at this family owned Hotel, although we have walked past it loads of times. It’s situated on the original main road, just down from Nicks Bottle Shop. The morning after arrival we had to go to reception. We had no plug for the bath, no bath mat and there was only one chair on our balcony. After speaking to Maria, it was resolved within 5mins. The bathroom itself was large but lacked shelf space. The shower above the bath was great, easily controlled and powerful. The living area was very large with a small built in kitchen area. The fridge worked well and had a freezer compartment at the top. There was a sofa bed and a single fold up bed. The apartment could easily sleep 2 adults and 3 children. Our bedroom had 2 single beds pushed together and we slept really well throughout our holiday. There was 2 wardrobes which had enough space for all our clothes. Quite glad my wife brought some extra hangers though. Next time we visit she is going to bring some washing line and pegs to dry things on the balcony, it would definitely come in handy. The pool and bar area was nicely laid out. We had no problem getting a sunbed anytime we went to the pool. The beds are relatively new and were even more comfortable with the blue foam mats on them. We used the bar a few times, Pannicos the barman was really nice. They had a cocktail of the day for €3.50 and a pint of Keo was €4.50. I must admit the beer was flat every time I had a pint. Quite a few people had food at the bar and it looked good. There was a decent sized main pool and a small kids pool. We did notice a few raised tiles that desperately need some attention! Summing up, we will definitely return to the Mandalena as do a lot of the people we met. The location might not be to everyone’s liking but it is so peaceful and definitely no sunbed wars! Staff are lovely as well, especially the sisters Maria and Niki. Anything we needed they dealt with it quickly and efficiently. Can’t forget their father George who greeted us every night when we came in, a gem of a man."

"First time staying in protaras and it was a good budget basic studio stay here for us. Staff very friendly, always a friendly greeting, also honest (told us the day after we paid for the safe they'd over charged us for 1 euro!!) Studio was basic but good enough for us. Some upgrading required in areas. Large room with 2 single beds, extras cushions and bedding provided, dressing table area, 2 ring hob, kettle, toaster, fridge freezer, dining table and all utensils required. Wardrobe was very small and we struggled for a weeks clothes. Only 2 plug sockets, not near bed either if thats your preference. Large bathroom. Good sized balcony with chairs & table. (No washing line but has handrail) we had a good pool and slight sea view. Pool area was nice and chilled, music on from approx 8am at a reasonable volume, plenty sunbeds for everyone (not enough blue mattresses for all) children's pool, slides, small grass area and box of toys in large sized reception area. Reception staff helpful in regards to bus, taxi etc food & drink nice at the bar. Book shelf and luggage room available. Pool was dirty on last day with leaves, insects etc but was a very windy day. Inflatables and Noodles were available I think that others had left. Location is great, 10-15 mins stroll to either protaras or pernera. There is a bus stop directly outside, which isnt overly obvious as no signage, just a lay by but it's perfect, buses are regular, great routes and starts at 2euro a trip."
