"Yes, 7th time, and there will definitely be an 8th! We are a retired couple and this hotel and complex gives us all we need every time, so much so that we stayed for 4 weeks this time. We think of it as our home from home. Nice welcome from staff as we arrived, quick check-in which is very much appreciated after a long jouney at 1am, luggage taken to our room, down to the lobby for a relaxing nightcap before bed. Really comfortable room, great king-size bed, powerful spacious shower, nice view of the sea and much of the new complex from the balcony. Lots of breakfast choices, anything with eggs and I'm happy, sometimes they would mix the scrambled egg with the spicy sausage, very tasty. There's a new wave of coffee machines and plenty of them all over the complex, the Americano from any of them was very nice, and the hot chocolate too. My partner rarely made it for breakfast, likes her sleep, but when she did eventually surface there was food available down in the new Avenue dining area. This is a really great addition, plenty of choices from different food stations, something for everyone I would say, and plenty of seating area. The dedicated waffle and wraps stations have done away with the long queues there were before. The sushi was fantastic, but I mostly went for the rotisserie chicken, taken off the heat and cut up in front of you, nice moist chicken every time. Staff in the Avenue would bring us a drink soon after we sat down, we had lunch there most of the time. And above that, the Oasis bar, another great addition, somewhere to sit in the shade and have a drink when I found the midday sun too strong. The 18+ pool still remains up the steps, we sunbathed up there every day. There was no shortage of sunbeds anywhere and we were always able to get some no matter how late we came down. We had lunch one day down at Ali Baba's, staff there were friendly and attentive and they do a nice caesar salad. It's a nice place to sit under the shade of the trees with a drink and look out to sea. We had 3 "a la carte" nights due to our long stay, the first was in the new Mangal restaurant. The staff were pleasant and attentive, but I was not impressed with my mixed grill, ate very little of it. My partner enjoyed her chicken though. A few nights later we went to the Wok, and it was a different story altogether, fantastic meal. Great and friendly service from the staff. Sushi to start with, I had the beef, it came with what I'd call a satay sauce and was delicious, melt in your mouth. We booked the Wok again for our 3rd a la carte and it was just as good as the first. We ate our evening meal most nights in the main dining room. There was a wide variety of choice and we never had a bad meal the whole time. We got our drinks set up every night by Ahmet, and busy as he was, we had great conversations with him. When we told him it was our last night, he reserved us a table, which was a very nice touch, thank you again Ahmet. There is a new entertainment area and it really is the last word, with a new bar beside it, lots of surrounding seating area. The entertainment was good and...entertaining! I enjoyed all of the shows I saw, most memorable the motorcycle cage. Big kid that I am at heart, I thought the Spiderman was really good. There was a group from South Africa that played one night and they were amazing, the band and singers as a unit were so tight and professional and the drummer was amazing. I hoped they would come back but sadly not in our time. I was also sad that the regular Sunday night band from previous seasons we were at Numa are no longer on the bill. No one seemed to know why, but hopefully they come back. There's a new Sunday night band with a powerful singer and they got peope going. The "White Party" was a great theme idea, everyone wearing white and an amazing backdrop that stretched the length of the entertainment area. There was something hypnotic about the masked dancers on stilts, but the music I would describe as "white noise" and it was entirely too loud. Last time I heard music that loud was at a Motorhead concert in 1980 ! We had made new friends, and even sitting at the very back we couldn't have a conversation, so we retired to the lobby bar. I think a lot of people complained about the volume that night and the management took note, every show after that was at a reasonable volume. World Cup fever kicked in while we were there and some of the earlier games were shown on the massive screen in the new entertainment area. The tv in the lobby bar is still there too for games. The lobby bar was where we finished most nights, great selection of spirits and beers, still have Guinness on draught and we enjoyed the gin and tonics and the ambience. Our room and bathroom was kept clean and spotless the whole month by the housekeeping team, with some really nice touches and towel shapes now and again. Every member of staff is helpful and makes us feel welcome at Numa Bay, but we'd like to mention the following; Dean, guest relations, always making sure we were having a good time. We'd hear him coming, "Lady J and Mr M..." and immediately brings a smile to your face, we had great conversations most days and there's always laughter when he's about. And if you have a query, you know he'll have the answer. Viktor, now guest relations but the same friendly, witty and helpful person. Manager Hakan, always a conversation and friendly banter. Ugur at reception, friendly chats or a wave if he's busy. Renata, guest relations, always a pleasant greeting and conversation, there was a tiny misunderstanding one day and Renata was right there, matter resolved in 15 minutes. Thanks also to Farida at reception for that. Also Kristina, Anita, Diana and Kutay from guest relations, who never passed us without stopping for a chat, making sure all was ok. Lauren, we were there for her first day, she has quickly became an asset, very pleasant, helpful when I was rearranging flights, great conversations. Mustafa at the Oasis bar, every day a friendly greeting and a chat, also Biryar and Ali. The skaters Nesli and Mehmet, always a greeting and brought us drinks. Ramazan, always a warm and friendly greeting in the morning, made sure there were sunbeds, and friendly Mehmet who went around the pools, brought us occasional drinks. We were waited on in the lobby bar by Bahar, Hatice, Rabia, Sultan, Fatma and Mustafa, always service with a smile. The Lady that played piano in the lobby, added an nice ambience. In the main restaurant, Metin who remembered us as returning guests, and Bayram, who always had a big loud greeting for us and a handshake. Bar manager Mehmet for the greetings and shots. Lobby cleaning lady Gulizar, always had a big hello. Avenue staff Bahar and Emin for the pleasant greetings and drinks, and Mehmet who also remembered us as returning guests. And return again we shall, hopefully this October, see you all then! M&J"
