"We stayed as a family of four (5yo and 1yo) from 19th-26th May.
We travelled from Ireland and arrived at 11pm after a long day of travelling and there was no baby cot in the room. We asked at reception 3 times and a couple of hours later the cot arrived to a room of very tired and grumpy people. We thought this would set the tone for our entire holiday- HOW WRONG WERE WE??
This place is absolutely fabulous, our first family holiday and we would be happy to return every year.
The hotel itself is immaculate, room cleaned daily and minibar stocked with water, Coke, Fanta, fruit juice, beer, nuts, cereal bars. We arrived back to our room beautifully decorated with rose petals and towel animals. (If we had DND sign on and were in the room late morning for the baby to have a nap then the room was cleaned but not decorated- obviously the staff couldn’t do as much when we were there or simply didn’t have time. The rooms are a decent size as is the bathroom. Beds comfy and black out curtains were fab.
All staff are extremely helpful. The restaurant staff all were very polite and came over to chat with our kids every day. They really couldn’t do enough for you.
We found the food good. It was hot and fresh. We enjoyed the fresh pancakes in the morning. The omelette station was always quite busy so we didn’t try them but they looked good! Lunch and dinner were good too. The fresh pasta station is a must try. As with any All Inclusive the food can get a bit repetitive but there are themed nights and the à la carte available for a charge. We particularly liked the pool snack bar, especially with the kids. It had baked potatoes, salad bar, fresh waffles, rotisserie chicken (I got it when it was just finished being cooked and it was absolutely delicious!!!) our kids loved the pizza, nuggets and chips there too. Always finished with an ice cream.
The beach snack bar was also good, there’s table service for chicken kebab, steak and burgers, but also buffet style with similar to what’s at the snack bar.
The bars had a great selection. Top shelf drinks available. The cocktails were lovely. My 5yo did find the mocktails a bit sweet! It’s a fun experience to get drinks delivered by the guys on skates.
The pools are great. The inside one is warm and was perfect for our 1yo. The large pool is very cold but it’s great for cooling off! Both our kids loved the little splash park although it could be hard to get a seat if we weren’t down early enough. I lifted my husbands towel of his lounger to dry myself while he was in the pool with the kids and a women tried to come over and take his lounger, I explained we weren’t leaving I was just drying off and she got quite rude. Absolutely nothing to do with the hotel, some people just aren’t very pleasant. The water slides were good, only went on once due to the kids ages. It’s hard to get a ring as people hog them rather than sharing. Yet again, this is just individuals being rude and not the fault of the hotel.
The entertainment is fabulous. There is pool games and activities during the day. We didn’t join in but it was fun to watch. We seen a yoga class on the lawn in the morning. The kids club has entertainment and activities and they’re very attentive with the kids. We paid extra for 5yo to paint a T-shirt (€18) but well worth it as they have a little presentation at the mini disco and kids get a medal. When my son went up on stage I could hear Tuncoo whisper to him how proud he was of him. It’s so lovely to see how much the team actually like working with children and enjoy their job. Tuncoo is definitely worth his weight in gold. He gets to know all the kids and has some banter with everyone. The mini disco was great fun and was immediately followed by more entertainment. We enjoyed every single show but especially the circus show and Wakanda show. We would have happily paid to see them they were that good. There’s also cushions available to sit on the steps of the amphitheater. Once the show was finished the funfair opened. It’s great that there’s no extra charge for it either. The ferris wheel was a big hit!
If you wanted a quieter vibe there’s live music and a karaoke on the terrace bar.
My husband went to the spa and had a massage which he said was very good. Finished with a face mask and tea. I think it was £50 and lasted well over an hour.
The hotel has a shop (a bit expensive but good if you’re in a pinch. Would def recommend to bring your own pool floats but they will inflate them for you). A tattoo parlour and hair salon. Also a shop with clothes bags and shoes. We enjoyed the craic with the lads who worked there.
It is in a quiet area, but there is plenty to do. We went to Ruzgars (great food), Blue Shark (lively and fun) and aspendos (friendly and done magic tricks for our kids). There’s a Migros for all your essentials and is cheaper than hotel shop.
We enjoyed shopping, Oscar’s shop and Ali Gs in particular. Amazing quality, nice people, not pushy.
Due to the age of our kids we didn’t do jeep safari or big Kral etc, although if you come out of hotel and turn left, on the left hand side there is a little stall that sells excursions and we were told he’s the best one to book through!
I haven’t a bad thing to say about this hotel. We had a fantastic holiday and would recommend here to absolutely anyone! There’s something to suit all taste and we will definitely come back!"
