"We’ve just come back from an amazing stay at Bel Azur Thalasso & Bungalows and honestly, we could not fault a thing! From the moment we arrived until the day we left, every single member of staff went above and beyond to make our holiday special.
The hotel itself is beautiful, spotless, and in a perfect location. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, and things to do just outside the hotel, which made exploring really easy. The Medina is also only around a 20-minute walk away with plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and places to explore.
The sea view from our room was absolutely stunning — waking up to that view every morning was incredible! The rooms were always kept clean and tidy, and the housekeeping staff did a fantastic job throughout our stay.
The food was another highlight. There was so much choice every day with themed nights and a huge variety of dishes, so there was always something different to try. The restaurant staff were honestly exceptional — always smiling, friendly, attentive, and working so hard. I unfortunately can’t remember how to spell all the names properly or remember them all but Fadel (I think that’s how you spell it) and Karim and slim especially stood out. They were amazing from start to finish. Fadel even surprised us by putting flowers on our table which was such a lovely touch. Drinks were constantly topped up before we even had to ask, and they always took the time to chat with us and make us feel welcome.
The pool and sun lounger service was also brilliant. The waiters were so attentive and created such a great atmosphere every day. Even after only leaving a small tip, they treated us amazingly and were always there with drinks and a smile.
One of the biggest highlights of the holiday was definitely the entertainment/animation team — they truly made the entire experience unforgettable and honestly made the holiday for us. Every single member of the team worked incredibly hard from morning until night to keep everyone entertained and involved. There was always something going on throughout the day including yoga, water aerobics, dancing, dart, cooking classes and more, and every evening there was different entertainment and shows to enjoy.
What really stood out though was how friendly and genuine the team were. They didn’t just do activities and disappear — they took the time to properly speak to guests, get to know people, make everyone feel included and create such a welcoming atmosphere around the hotel. We chatted with them a lot throughout the holiday, especially Simon, and they honestly felt more like friends by the end of the trip.
A huge special mention has to go to Simon, who is genuinely one of the best entertainers we’ve ever met on holiday. He went above and beyond every single day to make sure everyone was happy, involved and having a good time. He constantly made us laugh, always stopped for a chat, checked in to make sure we were okay and just brought such amazing energy every day. I was also in quite a lot of pain during parts of the holiday and Simon was always checking in on me, asking if I was okay and making sure I was doing alright, which genuinely meant a lot. When my stepdad had a bad headache, Simon even went out of his way to help us get paracetamol, which was incredibly thoughtful and shows how much he genuinely cares about the guests. The whole entertainment team were amazing, but Simon especially really made our holiday unforgettable.
We also booked trips through Mohammed Adem M’rad, who was absolutely amazing as well. He was so friendly, informative, helpful and easy to talk to. He explained everything clearly, helped us choose the best trips and made the whole experience stress-free and enjoyable. He even took us to Sidi Bou Said and stayed with us during the trip, which made the experience feel much more personal and welcoming. We ended up sitting and having drinks with him and even had a meal included together, which was such a lovely touch and made the day even more memorable. You could tell he genuinely cared about guests having a good experience and we really appreciated all his help.
By the end of the trip, saying goodbye honestly felt emotional because the staff had been so kind to us throughout our stay. We got hugs, handshakes and genuine goodbyes from so many of them, which just shows how welcoming and caring everyone at this hotel is.
We also had a spa treatment during our stay which was lovely and surprisingly affordable — definitely worth doing!
Overall, this was genuinely one of the best holidays we’ve had. The teamwork across the whole hotel really stood out to us. Every member of staff — from the restaurant, cleaners, pool staff, entertainment team and beyond — were kind, hardworking, friendly, and attentive throughout our stay.
