"We checked in on August 31 and are checking out on September 2, 2026.
When we arrived at our room yesterday, room 1225, which had two single beds, we immediately noticed that the room was located directly next to the elevator. The constant noise was unacceptable, so we raised the issue with the hotel.
We were then informed that all rooms with single beds are located next to the elevator, leaving us with no choice but to move to a room with a double bed. Our condition was very clear: we required two separate single duvets.
When we returned to the hotel last night, we found that an extra double duvet had simply been placed in the room. This meant that there were two 200 x 200 cm duvets on a 160 cm wide bed.
We called reception last night to have this corrected, but were told that it could not be done.
After a terrible night trying to sleep with an excessive amount of duvet in an already small bed, we complained again this morning. We were assured that the problem would be resolved and that two single duvets would be delivered to our room.
We have just returned to the hotel — and there are still no single duvets.
We complained once again, only to be told that the hotel has no more single duvets available and that this is simply what they can offer.
This is completely unacceptable.
What makes the situation even more frustrating is that yesterday we accidentally left my husband’s medication in the previous room. The medication was found and placed in the hotel’s lost and found — despite the fact that the medication clearly indicated that the guest had been moved to another room. This shows a complete lack of attention to detail and proper guest service.
We are two guests over 60 years of age and travel extensively around the world every single week. We have never experienced such poor service and such a complete lack of consideration for guests.
And this is in a hotel that is already tired, run-down, dated and in desperate need of updating.
The way this situation has been handled is simply not acceptable. We expect the hotel to take responsibility for the situation and provide an appropriate solution — rather than repeatedly telling us that nothing can be done.
We are extremely disappointed with both the service and the way our complaints have been handled."
